    Summary

    Great with execution and running, bad with upgrade. Also "Prevented Threats Not Enabled" on the Simple interface is a mystery though I haven't put in a ticket yet. It pretty much looks like everything is working but the error is perplexing. We just keep it on the advanced interface.

    The product is excellent, we've used RDS Knight for a couple of years and expect the same sizes from this product.

    The install of TSPlus apparently requires prior products to be uninstalled but the installer does not detect this very fundamental condition, and instead reports a very cryptic error. We wasted hours of time troubleshooting what ended up being a facepalm. Also (though I may have missed it) I saw no indication in any instruction about uninstalling prior products. I'm still surprised by this.

    The best alternative to RDS

    Simply the best alternative to MS RDS or Citrix there is on the market.
    It's very lightweight, easy to configure, and very fast.

    Administration is super easy to set up even for a novice user.
    Fully brandable web portal (in the Web version) also that can be lightweight for either full desktop or published apps over HTTPS or normal MS RDP client.

    SSLs are a little tricky to set up. Support has indicated this is to be improved in their product roadmap which is really encouraging.

    The software just works and does everything I want on a mix of AWS and in-house servers. It has been a long business relationship between my company and TSPlus and over time I have built good working relationships with them. A key factor for me is that the staff I am dealing with now are the same ones I started with over 10 years ago which is comforting and to me indicates a stable company that will be around as long as I am.

    I have been using TSPlus for many years on AWS EC2 Windows Server instances that I use to host business software for my clients and on their in-house servers.
    I find it very cost effective, easy to use and I am comfortable that the security package protects the servers from intrusions.
    I have been writing business software for over thirty years, but I don't have a lot of expertise in MS Windows Server OS. TSPlus provides all the tools I need to manage the servers in a very easy to use interface.
    The remote client and client menu process works well and remote printing from the server back to the client always work reliably.

    Negative

    There are no downsides to using TSPlus.

    The alternative is to use native Microsoft Remote Desktop. This is possible, but not nearly as seamless as using TSPlus. Features such as their Universal Printer which simplifies printing as compared to MS EasyPrint, and TSPlus Advanced Security to reduce internet based attacks, as well as their application publishing and client management systems make managing servers much easier.

    We have a Windows application that we license via a SAAS model. We use TSPlus Remote Access to allow customers to access our Windows application using a web browser, instead of needing to install our application locally. Clients can access the application via Windows machine, Mac, iPad, or any device with a modern web browser. This makes selling our application via a SAAS model possible.

    Negative

    In the past, support was only available via a ticket system, and since the company is based in France, response times were sometimes lengthy due to time zone differences. More recently, support seems offered from a US based office so response times have improved.
