PositiveThe product is highly dynamic and customizable. Our team and I have utilized it to deliver payroll and HCM-related services to our clients. I particularly appreciate its GL functions and the capability to automatically transmit data to QBO software.
NegativeHowever, there have been product updates that resulted in disruptions and issues with the software. Additionally, the product is not very user-friendly for general users.

PositiveWe like that for the most part it is user friendly and allows the client to be independent. The overall solution to common questions can be answered with the features.
NegativeI am the tax manager for our company. I feel that the Isolved tax service needs to be updated and more features need to be made available to ASO users. They are promoting an Isolved Tax Service that Isolved handles but that will not work for our company. The tax service while it is user friendly in some cases there are other features that can be better. For example: POA packages should be able to show more than one contact. Service bureau reports are lacking, and we are waiting for the system report builder to be up and running.

Perfect for a Small City
Date: Jun 18 2024SummaryWe have been using iSolved for over 7 years. In that time both the usability, functionality, and accessibility to the system has only gotten better. At least a few times each year we uncover new functions or ways to use the software to satisfy needs we didn't know it had the capacity to meet.
Customer support is great, very responsive, and knowledgable. The only downside we have experienced is that the features in the legacy core HRIS are no longer updated or improved much as iSolved adds other new paid modules to meet some of the basic needs. That said we still are not fully leveraging all the tools that are in the system yet.
I would recommend iSolved to any small to mid-market organizations in the private or public sectors.PositiveiSolved checks all the boxes for a small organization looking for an affordable an accessible HRIS. The user interface is is easy to understand and work with. Behind the interface is a suite of robust functions that meet most of the needs of organizations looking for a mid-market level of system.
Some of the best functions include the highly customizable payroll processing features, powerful reporting features, and integrated digital personnel file functions.NegativeiSolved provides a complete set of functions at its basic HRIS legacy level. Unfortunately, many if not all of the newer functions like workplace engagement tools, Learning Management, and workforce scheduling are all paid add-ons. Extremely User Friendly

PositiveThis system is user friendly for all types of users, Admin, Client, Manager/Supervisor, and Employee. I have had clients onboard with us and never need training because they are able to navigate quickly and the University has been a life saver.
NegativeThe only issue I have is the response time when submitting a ticket.

Updated: Jul 30 2024SummaryOverall I am please with Isolved. They care about their customers and listen to our input. Isloved is a good reason I am now in Human Resources. They have a lot of good information as well as training classes within their university to help their customers grow and flourish in their field.
PositiveI have been using Isolved for about 3 years now. Isolved is extremely user friendly. The software is constantly being updated to make it easier for those using it, and I appreciate that they care for the companies that are using their software. Two pros would definitely have to be Time management and Employee experience. Both have improved greatly using Isloved.
NegativeOne con that I would have to say about using Isolved is the response time when it comes to Customer Service. Sometimes I am able to get a quick response and other times it takes awhile for me to get a response which can put a halt in dome of our day to day tasks.

PositiveThe customer support is excellent. You can get an answer quickly when needed. Also, iSolved handles tax data very well. We have not had any issues with our tax filings. And if you receive a notice they research and let you know if it is or is not related to payroll. Then you know how to handle the communications. Now on the phone line they have an option for tax help and they are very good! Thanks for always adding more to help us.
NegativeCurrently, iSolved can't process foreign payrolls, but they can help with bringing their data into the HR side. I'm hoping soon we can have the international payrolls as an option.

Great reports
Date: Mar 14 2024SummaryOverall, I like the reporting and the ease of adding/terminating employees. I dislike the fees and charges.
PositiveI like the reports offered by isolved. They have a variety of supporting reports that especially help when we are going through an audit, which occurs 3 times a year and include 401k, quality, worker's comp.
NegativeI have a difficult time finding someone to help me with specific issues and to get them to resolve them accurately and quickly.

I also think isolved nickels and dimes us, such as charging a $5.00 fee when a direct deposit is incorrect.
I think it's ridiculous that when we don't have any changes during our benefits enrollment that we are charged a hefty amount. We don't need any changes whatsoever yet are charged a large fee.Official isolved Response -

Positive- I love the option for employees to submit time off request and missed punches through the system, less paperwork!!
- I appreciate the notifications you receive when you log into the system (ex: State tax changes, upcoming holidays, the reminder when to submit times when a holiday is approaching)NegativeOnce you submit payroll you cannot make any changes, you have to call in. I am also a user on the Paychex system and once I submit with them, I have 15 minutes to make any changes myself.

Regardless of the areas for improvement, one can tell that isolved takes the general needs of their end users into account.
PositiveFrom the end-user perspective: Easy to use & intuitive; able to manage simple to some complex payroll needs; offers ATS, LMS, GL, and a slew of other integration options; clean mobile ESS UI; constant releases to stay up to date on, or ahead of, industry standards.
From the setup/admin user perspective: Individual client conversions are rather easy; recently updated reference materials and courses in isolved's knowledge base are helpful; contacts we partner with at isolved are helpful and friendly.NegativeWould love to see...better reporting options at both the individual client/end-user and system admin levels (report building that can merge multiple tables, or create percentage-based outputs using overall totals in report not just individual line detail), competitive upgrades to older modules, as well as core HCM dashboards that can be customized by employer, or even groups of end-users.
