What is PlaceCall?

PlaceCall is a cloud-based API designed to streamline the process of connecting agents for calls to various businesses throughout the United States, particularly tailored for AI applications and digital assistants. Developers can simply provide a specific phone number or define the type of business they want to reach, then assign a clear task to PlaceCall, such as checking availability, requesting a quote, confirming information, or making a reservation. The platform efficiently manages the entire calling workflow, which includes dialing the number, navigating interactive voice response systems, handling hold times, and engaging in the conversation, all while delivering a well-organized result, a transcript of the dialogue, and an audio recording of the call. In addition to these features, agents can ask follow-up questions during the call, and users have the option to contact multiple businesses at once. PlaceCall offers smooth integrations through its HTTP API, MCP-compatible clients, and pre-built connectors or skills that work with platforms like Claude, Codex, OpenClaw, ChatGPT, and Apify. Its pricing structure is based on successful call completions, meaning users are not charged for calls that do not connect, and new users can take advantage of a complimentary tier. This cutting-edge service enhances communication between consumers and businesses, simplifying the process of acquiring vital information and improving overall customer experience. Ultimately, PlaceCall represents a significant advancement in how users interact with businesses via phone calls.
