What is SolarDesignTool?

Start by developing a preliminary design that outlines the module and inverter configuration along with the general layout. Progress this into a permit-ready design by following a simplified four-step wizard. You can define the installation site by utilizing aerial imagery or by importing a 3D model from platforms like EagleView or RoofOrders. Leveraging SolarDesignTool, you can swiftly create a photovoltaic system design and assemble a solar permit package in just 15 minutes. This permit package will include a variety of critical documents, such as a project overview, site layout, single-line diagram, PV safety labels, plans for attachments, details for support racking systems, a fire safety strategy, equipment specifications, and pertinent certifications. After finalizing the PV system design, generating the solar permit package becomes a straightforward task with the push of a button, facilitating a smooth transition to the required documentation. For a standard residential sloped rooftop using a commonly accepted racking system, the permit package will provide all necessary documents, ensuring compliance and readiness for the installation process. This efficient approach not only saves time but also enhances accuracy in the documentation, paving the way for a hassle-free installation experience.

What is MapperX?

MapperX is a comprehensive web platform designed to assess solar photovoltaic plants by utilizing thermal and RGB imagery captured via drones. It methodically catalogs inspection data and harnesses AI technology to detect potential thermal issues and visual defects at the module level for expert review. The findings are linked to plant layouts and asset documentation, allowing teams to pinpoint problems, compare different inspections, assign follow-up actions, and create detailed PDF reports that highlight anomalies, temperature readings, severity ratings, and exact locations. This software aims to improve outdoor photovoltaic thermography procedures in line with IEC 62446-3 standards, addressing the needs of solar operations, maintenance, commissioning, warranty documentation, and insurance. MapperX caters to a wide range of users, including PV inspection and operations teams, drone service providers, EPC contractors, and solar asset holders, and it is compatible with imagery from DJI thermal drones. While the insights gained from inspections and subsequent reports are valuable, they rely on the knowledge and capabilities of the review team. Additionally, the platform's ability to streamline solar inspections and enhance decision-making processes plays a crucial role in boosting operational efficiency. Ultimately, MapperX not only aids in identifying issues but also supports teams in improving their overall management of solar assets.
