I worked here for more than a year and my reputation is about 73. My reputation is indicating my contribution in the platform but I quit because of intentional downvote by the whale and there is no such a platform of complaining for such kind of injustice behaviour of the power holder whales. I know many of the quality bloggers left hive because of such kind of injustice and suppressive attitude of the power holder. They are just mockering about decentralization.

It's a good opportunity of earning by sharing blog.
There are a number of community with specialisation where anyone can find their required category of content sharing. The range of topic according to community is wide.

- it is controlled by the Whales with their downloading power. You cannot complain to any authority when you will get downvote from whales intentionally. They will assembly tell you that they are not agree with the post reward. Just laughing stock.
- Some of the communities are not in good position so it's difficult for the users who want to share their customised content based on strong zone in those communities as there is less support in those communities.

It was ok, but it got really really bad, watching friends and then eventually myself get abused relentlessly by the people in the most powerful positions, harassed with racist comments and having all my posts down voted to zero for months....by the top witnesses and leaders on the platform! Outrageous. I was just a simple travel blogger, totally non-confrontational. I suspect I was too successful there and they did not like it.

It functions and there are good people there. I made some good friends, but also there were some bad characters that caused drama and went wild with the down-vote button.

It's becoming very well known that there is a highly organized power structure on hive who have installed and use the down-vote button to abuse, control, and manipulate for their own personal reasons. It's a total disgrace.

The heart of Hive is its community of users, witnesses and developers. No other project compares! We are just looking at the tiniest tip of the iceberg for what is possible to do on Hive.

Censorship resistant, free transactions, NFTs, games, communities, earn crypto for blogging! There are endless things that can be done with Hive. The sky is the limit.

Not enough has been done to make Hive known to the greater public.

Great way to interact with others in a decentralized way and find different niche communities while also finding access to crypto games. Can't recommend Hive enough.

Love the various communities with their own tokens and NFT minting.
The variety of games is already impressive and growing rapidly
Not having a central authority helps me feel safe in my dealings - no risk of being banned from the chain

Support can be difficult without a central authority - it's up to whatever devs and users offer to help.

Until the small core of users that are running the platform and insist upon downvoting the successful users that they don’t know leave, this platform is without doubt one to avoid and your time will be better spent on one of the better chains.

There are a group of users who are very passionate about the platform. They are very strong minded and the reason that Hive exists.

These strong minded people don’t seem to realise how damaging their downvotes are to the platform’s growth. They’re so blinded by their belief that downvotes are good and an important part of the system.

They’re very quick to blacklist users with little to no justification at which point you’re bullied into leaving. Which suits the small cartel in charge as they continue to dominate the reward pool.

This is a huge deterrent to investors as anybody who dares to earn rewards has them wiped out.

I learned a lot and love it! I feel I joined a real community and made meaningful connections and friends. Def recommend!

There is never a shortage of things to do and new people to meet on Hive. So much art and creative writing! There are a loooot of games and websites connected to Hive: Splinterlands, Ragnarok, 3Spk, Dcity, Hashkings, Ecency, Inji, Liketu, ++++ many more. Friendly people will help you get started and show you the ropes if you need to.

The only thing that they ask of you is to be honest and not cheat or steal other people's work. The bad reviews are from people who got caught! LOL

Some games and websites are easier to use than others.

Absolutely, a one of a kind experience in this lifetime for me and i can say that for anyone who give it a try. Don't say i didn't warn you....it's #ADDICTIVE.

I do love everything about Hive, what i love most about the system is the freedom of speech and financial literacy that it offers to all its users. Just give it a try and thanks me in 1 month time.

I don't like it that Hive doesn't get the publicity it needed yet.

After getting over the learning curve, Hive is a joy to interact with. The community, for the most part, is friendly and invested in the blockchain's success.

While this blockchain looks like it's just for indelible and uncensorable social media, it is actually a bottom layer for a plethora of applications. The biggest player being a NFT card game "Splinterlands." This blockchain is environmentally friendly, scalable, and fast. Right now it's a cozy little place at the edge of the crypto galaxy, with potential to become a major hub.

It is not like most other blockchains so the learning curve is a little steep. Had to learn about "Hive Power" and "Resource Credits." You can't interact much with the blockchain until you know how those work.

The best of the best! Hive is challenging and there are always new things to learn and experience. There are so many opportunities and directions you can go!

Ecency is my favorite frontend on the Hive blockchain! The Hive Community is vibrant and active and Hive gives me access to friends all around the world.

I truly can't think of a single thing that I don't like. It may be difficult for new users to understand how to use everything, but help is there for the asking. Everything is well thought out and works flawlessly.

Overall I think Hive is better than other decentralised platforms and also the cons I mentioned are seen in all other platforms, so it's not a big need.

From what I can say from 1 year of experience is that, this is the best decentralised social networking on the internet. The Hive ecosystem is really huge compared to others. The Hive is maintained and monitored properly for avoiding abuse, plagiarism and etc.

Some communities doesn't curate contents even if it has quality.
Some users with huge followers get high values of vote even for low quality posts and that can be a abuse to the reward pool and also unfairness.
Some times if we are honest about something, and of the admins are against that, our content won't get curated.
Most of the users use hive.vote and there are very few 7-10 user who actually reads the content and vote, other follows the curation trail (auto vote).

A bit daunting at the start as it takes some time to figure out how the whole thing works, from understanding curation to different platforms, especially if one is not so familiar with cryptos. After you get the hang of it, there's where the fun begins and I will check out this space everyday!

The friendly community, the variety of content and information. the active engagement. and best of all, getting rewarded for writing and reading content.

Might be a daunting for beginners who might not be familiar with how this whole thing works. Feel free to ask around and communicate with the friendly people and you will be surprised with how helpful people within this community are!

A platform that I have been using for 2-3 months, I had a nice social networking experience where I can learn good information and learn about places I haven't been to improve myself when patiently continues.

I haven't seen a negative aspect that has caught my attention so far. It meets all my needs.

Hive is my favourite and there are many reasons behind it. It is really user friendly, and it is very decorated as the rules regulation are very strict. That's the reason no nonsense is seen here and the ecosystem is balanced. I have found the communities and the users are very helpful to lift you up if you make good contents. Also the authors regulate every single post -for everyone, new or old members; which encourages everyone to engage and to post. One can have a very sufficient income by simply writing blogs at any of his/her favourite topic. It's providing 20% APR which is really beneficiary for users. And of course it is a web3.0. The best one ever on blockchain.

It's a tough thing to find a cons. But I think too many rules regulation which make a bit hard for new users.

While the details regarding how rewards and the entire hive ecosystem works can be complex, simply using hive is a breeze. Post content and upvote what you like. What could be simpler. There are a variety of front ends to use. Add to that rewards for both creating content and curating and you have an outstanding platform. There are imitators but they all pale in comparison at the moment.

Censorship resistant AND you can earn crypto. What's not to like? Far superior to its competitors in terms of features, content and activity.

Short form content generally isn't appreciated and a bad interaction with a whale can lead to you earning little to nothing. But if it is only the decentralization and censorship resistance that you care about then those things are a minor concern. If you do endeavor to actually earn though you'll have to be careful whose toes you step on. This is not actually an issue for most people but something to be aware of.

It's something innovative, I never thought that publishing what I like would generate a financial return.

HIVE is Decentralized, fast and has a large community. You can earn money by publishing the subject of your interest.

Platform although excellent, is not very intuitive, you have to research a lot, who starts on the platform without help from someone suffers a little to learn the basics.

HIVE has become a second home to me over the past four years. I've tried most of the other platforms in the top five and they simply don't compare to HIVE. Don't let the ratings fool you! HIVE is #1.

Besides the technical hurdles to entry that exist with all blockchains, there are zero cons for HIVE.

There is huge earning potential on this platform. You don't even need to be a content creator, with some investment, curation by itself can be extremely profitable so you're literally paid for reading content and voting on it.

A community for every topic, and if it doesn't exist you can create one yourself.
Being paid for content that you've given to other platforms for free for years (Instagram) is a great feeling.
Very supportive community that wants to see the platform and new users succeed.

Posting rules can be difficult to find, causing altercations when posts are downvoted and rewards are lessened.
Very steep learning curve for account creation and use.

Awesome, I would recommend HIVE for anyone on social media that ISN'T getting crypto rewards for their content.

Daily blogging, interactions with interesting people, rewarded for posts and comments, interesting subchain tokens for passive income.

HIVE is less than one dollar - it's heavily discounted right now.

Playing Splinterlands was my actual intention, but it was through the game that I discovered the blockchain it was build upon.
Since then, I've fully immersed myself into the HIVE blockchain and expanded beyond just the Splinterlands games itself, so much so that I spend more time on HIVE overall than the game which originally brought me here! :D

- large number of P2E games, Splinterlands in particular is one of the largest P2E games with the most number of active users, beating out even Axie Infinity.
- A large and varied community discussing and covering a vast range of topics.

- What's there not to like? ;)
- Team could do with more aggressive and professional marketing. I feel that more ought to be invested in this aspect by hiring big name ad agencies for a sustained and effective campaign to spread more awareness.
