PositiveNutshell has a really good user friendly layout and great customer service! Wufoo integration is great. Email onboard is really good. Plays very nicely with GSuite as well.
NegativeWould like to see a better quoting integration other than PandaDoc. Also would like to see a QuickBooks interface of some sorts. Those are wish list items. There isn't much not to like about Nutshell.

The change over from Highrise was complicated by Highrise and the staff did sort it out at Nutshell and made it work. Great people to work with.
PositiveThe site is one of the best for CMS. Easy to use, and real people to answer questions if needed. The letter campaigns available have worked well. The creation of new letters, once one learns the system are easy to create and effective.
NegativeThe price is steep. What they need is a middle plateau level. $60/mo. is reasonable. There are some hidden items that need to be clicked that are not intuitive from the my standpoint.

PositiveFields that auto-categorize copy/paste content. Multiple views based on searches. Easy setup. Great customer support [typically instantly through the apps chat function].
NegativeSegmenting lists can be tricky/limiting. Some filters do not function on in all search/sort scenarios.

Great tool for small businesses

I am unable to speak to the level of complexity that nutshell accommodates, as we use it for its most basic features and functions. It is great for tracking our network/people and our favorite feature is the ability to tag individuals.
PositiveWe love the tagging feature to help organize and keep track of our contacts. Everything is fairly straightforward and easy to use with intuitive UX/UI. We also like the task and note feature for individual contacts. Building out emails was easy enough and the design was nice and the templates were easy to use.
NegativeWish there was a field for inputing birthdays as we are a high touch, personal business - maybe I am missing it? The email feature could be slightly improved (speaking from only using it a couple of times) - our main issue was that we had multiple contacts who never received the emails. When we used other email platforms, these same contacts did receive the emails.

A Flexible CRM That's Actually Relevant to Sales People

Every team has some degree of this and it's a significant roadblock to the use of CRM packages. Perhaps the best way I can describe our experience with Nutshell is to say that even our most change-averse team members have come around quickly and easily and now use it happily.
PositiveCRM tools have always felt and worked out more like reporting tools for corporate leadership at the top of sales organizations. Nutshell is the exact opposite. It's given our team a platform to support day-to-day sales work on an individual and team basis. Well over a year in, we're still discovering new ways to benefit from the ease of use and flexibility in Nutshell's design.
NegativeThe reporting tools aren't perfect for our team but we're learning more and more about how to capture and review the data we need. (In fairness, this may be more of a user problem.)

PositiveThe overall workflow is easy and efficient. The attention to detail is apparent in just about everything I do. A great example is the integration between the mobile and desktop apps. If I search a customer on my mobile device and switch back to my desktop, that same account is what I see. Customization is also very powerful. It's also a very agile program which is important for a cloud based application.
NegativeI'd like to see more functionality with the map. Navigation, trip optimization and more sales data visualizations would be great. It would be nice to have the ability to assign territories to sales people and vendors.

Lot Of Great Features and Innovations; A Few Glitches To Work Out
Date: Apr 13 2022SummaryOverall, I like Nutshell but am often nervous when I send broadcasts and have had repeated issues with glitches on the broadcast side of Nutshell. Additionally, it isn't always straight forward the best way to implement companies into the mix of tags, leads, and audiences in terms of a funnel and the number of tag options is sometimes confusing. There are definitely aspects of Nutshell that are answering issues users have with other CRMs but it still falls behind its major competition in terms of ease of use and amount of glitches that still need worked through.
PositiveNutshell offers A lot of diverse and intuitive ways to funnel and categorize clients, send broadcasts, and automate work. The fact that Nutshell now has their own forms is huge because products like Zapier are a glitchy pain in the butt. That being said, a CRM like InfusionSoft or Salesforce both have easier pipelines and more straightforward lead tracking; literally allowing you to move people from box to box like a you're in a child's computer game which is simpler than Nutshell's system.
NegativeThe Broadcast options are behind competitors for sure and glitch way more. If nutshell wants people to use them as their wholistic one stop CRM shop, they need to create a better way to check for spam filters (my deliverability rates are low on Nutshell and I am not able to troubleshoot why with spam test). Also, Nutshell doesn't help you optimize broadcasts for SEO, which is beneficial, and there just don't seem to be the easy to plug in creative options in terms of design that a company like ConstantContact offers.
