    Overall a good experience and great value for the offering. For the price you cant get more features than currently with OOMA.

    I love that OOMA can now support sending rich text messaging! I've been with 4 other VOIP providers that talk about doing texts, but its only simple text messaging. With OOMA, i can send imagery... and for my customers interaction in an artistic business, this makes all the difference.

    As most VOIP providers go, the tiny lag in answering is still a problem to be solved. This will come from ALL the providers and is not specific to OOMA alone.

    It's an okay phone system. As stated above it needs to be able to handle more than two pages to be faxed at a time.

    Love the phone supplied and the multi-lines coming in. We went from two lines to six and love it. OOMA is easy to work with when you have an issue.

    I would like to be able to scan and fax a bigger file than two pages. Currently, you can only scan and fax two pages at a time or it states the file is two big. Very inconvenient!!

During the pandemic, we were forced to work from home for extended periods of time, however, with Ooma, we had 100% access to our office phone system through our cell phones and iPads. Ooma Office made navigating the pandemic and working from home very manageable.

    Went through AT&T, then Spectrum, then another VOIP company. OOMA finally provides me with a system that works completely. By being cloud based, if we lose the internet during a storm, our cell phones receive calls.

    Overall, I find Ooma Office to be a fantastic solution for anyone who wants to have the most professional image possible, and yet without the pain of having to go through a traditional landline service provider.

    Positive

    Their desk phones, particularly the DP1, which is wireless, are especially useful for flexibility. You literally just plug it in, and as long as it's near your main connection box, it works beautifully with quality, uninterrupted, and clear sound. Their desktop app is quite robust, and has text messaging and fax features enabled, which is great. I don't use this feature, but some would benefit from having a toll-free number which is provided at no cost. I might have more of a need for this as I expand. Finally, I love the ability to record a greeting with a set of menu options at the beginning. Just awesome all around!

    Negative

    The only con is in regards to their online support. Whenever I had to use it in the beginning, and once or twice for billing, they really just refer you to call instead. That seems to defeat the purpose of the convenience from a chat feature, which I really need since I can't dedicate a lot of time tied up on the phone when I have clients in and out of my office all day.

    I’ve used Ooma for home service at my primary secondary residences for years and am completely satisfied with the call quality, customer service, and cost savings. When I set up a new business enterprise, I naturally looked to Ooma as my telco service provider, and have experienced the same benefits in my work environment that I have for years at home. Overall, it’s a great service from a solid company!

    Positive

    The biggest advantages of Ooma:
    * massive cost savings over traditional telco service
    * enhanced capabilities such as checking voicemail online, email call notifications, and having calls ring simultaneously on your mobile device (not forwarded)
    * low cost-of entry for home or office setup

    Negative

    The most immediate drawback I see is my phones are now tied to my internet service: if your internet service goes down, so do your phones (and credit card processing at my business as well as anything else dependent upon phone lines). Fortunately, Ooma offers an internet backup option to provide a cellular-based backup solution that is relatively inexpensive. Overall cost is still significantly less than traditional telco service, with all the benefits of a VoIP solution. It’s also worth noting that the Ooma phone equipment is designed to work in tandem with lines / extensions: in other words, you can’t purchase extra wireless VoIP phone devices and have them ring on an existing line without also adding (and paying for) another line. You can mostly work around this by purchasing a standard multi-handset phone and connecting it to the output of an Ooma hub – if your phone has six handsets, all of them ring just like any other phone. I do wish I could simply purchase from Ooma other wireless VoIP phones to use with my existing lines.

    We prefer Ooma over our previous provider in every way. The app is amazing, everything is under our complete control at all times, the text to speech feature in the setup is awesome! Everything is so easy to use that we actually use all the features that are available to us! With our previous provider it was hard to even figure out how to use any special feature so we just never did. We're finally getting what we pay for. And it ups our professionalism exponentially!! Even our clients are pleased with the new phone system and how easy it is to get to the party they are looking for. Excellent experience all around.

    The most amazing customer service I have encountered ANYWHERE! I didn't have to wait more than a minute to get help on anything, and that was through email! Phone is even faster!     My favorite feature is the transcribed voicemails. I no longer have to listen to the message several times just to get a call back number or some other information as it's written right there in the transcript for me!

    I have no complaints! Honestly, the customer service alone was enough to make us switch from our previous provider. The user interface is far more user-friendly and we had no trouble figuring out how to set everything up the way we wanted. The only feature I would like to see added is sending faxes to more than one email address, which I hear is in the works. Everything else is great!
