Overall I would suggest this program.
It's very fair priced compared to other programs, easy to learn and use.

I've been using Sage for basic HR and for Payroll and I love how easy it was to learn.
They have a great support when you need it and many questions and answers that you can find on the program to help you.

I don't know if I have any cons at the moment, I haven't been using this program very long yet.

Easy to use, and integrates seamlessly with Sage Accounting. Reporting for CRA is at your fingertips.

This has been a great time saver versus dealing with an accountant.

The employee access to get their information online if desired saves any questions coming back to the payroll admin for historical data and/or lost stubs.

Simple basic time entry. Just enter the hours per week for each category and you are done.

The reports for source deduction submissions to the CRA are very easy to use.

The integration with Sage Accounting is a big time saver. Everything is automatically posted for you!

So many YouTube videos to help you get everything rolling and answer any questions you have.

The online chat support is a great feature.

Each employee must have a minimum scheduled hours per week in order to save their hourly rate. Not ideal when you have a casual/part-time labour pool.

The feeds into Sage Accounting are several steps and not intuitive. There are YouTube videos to explain all this, but I feel it should be a more compact solution.

Cheque formatting is limited. You are forced to print the cheque number on the cheque.

No formatting option to use a basic cheque for payroll. Deduction section won't format to the cheque stub. You need specific payroll cheques if you want use the stub. Not a big deal. I just use the stub for my accounting a print a summary sheet for the employee.

Unable to update the email address associated with an employee after initial setup.

With the add-on pricing for modules (ie Timesheets) it feels like I am being nickle-and-dimed on cost IF you want add-on features.

Overall i would recommend this program for anyone who needs HR to track their employees and do payroll.

I like that I can access this program from anywhere, makes it easier from working from home, I love how I can check up on anything from my phone as well not just a desk top.

There are a few glitches that need to be sorted out, but I am confident that in the coming months the programmers will have fixed them.

Overall seems like a good program that we can use to better manage files and employee certifications.

Great tracking and ease of navigation through the site. The training tab is cool because it allows me to create and schedule trainings for future classes, invite employees, and notify me and my team all in one program.

Hard to figure out how to create or update documents, hopefully with the help of my HR team the app will start to become more familiar. I think a Zoom call to go over some of the features would be useful.

Sage is definitely a great tool. It's very intuitive, and easy to use. We encounter a few bugs in the road, but there's a very good conversation with the team. You can have a conversation with someone from Sage in no time, and they are always happy to help and receive feedback.

Easy to use, intuitive, good support, it has a LOT of options, recipes for automated tasks. You feel like they thought about everything.

You encounter bugs once in a while. HR tool is not that great. Not bad, but not enough.

Sage HR has been great in changing our HR experience and interactions with employees. They have found it user friendly on their ends to make requests and know upcoming tasks, training and updating their personal information. It did require some set up time to really utilize the system to it's full advantage.

A company like Sage that has been doing accounting and payroll for as long as they have should have a handle on how to make a payroll system. This terrible excuse for a program has cost us hundreds of dollars in wasted time and fees. I would NEVER recommend Sage HR to anyone no matter the size of their company. You'd be better off doing it by hand than wasting your time with Sage HR.

It sort of integrates with Sage Accounting Cloud, but even that is terrible as it will not allow you to mark a payment as "direct deposit".

Literally everything else. Interface is bad, links often don't work right away. Constant errors with labelling of employee deductions. One of our admin accounts has never been able to log in and access payroll despite numerous tech support sessions. They're unable to access our information so if they can't replicate the problem on their test servers then they claim there's either no problem or ask us to do ridiculous things like make duplicate employees to rectify the problem.

My employees pay stubs are incorrect and beyond fixing, which legally presents me with all sorts of problems.

No option to select "direct deposit" other than the Sage payment service, which takes a week to deposit funds to employees, which doesn't allow us to follow the law in regards to paying employees. When pressed on this issue, support said "just mark it as 'cash', it doesn't matter". It does matter, on what planet does having the wrong payment type listed not matter??

Employees can't change their email addresses - so if they change internet providers or email accounts, they can no longer access their pay info or get pay stubs by mail.

Their system added incorrect pay categories to some of our employees; one employee who has always been hourly has a year-to-date value for salary pay they've never received. When we brought up this issue and others that affected every employee, we were dismissed because, again, they couldn't duplicate the problem on their end so they couldn't help us.

Overall, SageHR is a fine tool for basic HR needs. I think the app needs to be fleshed out a bit more, and I would want to see some better admin features.

Easy to manage teammates, can quickly see how much PTO and other holiday time is left, I like the ability to upload receipts for expense requests.

App is a bit glitchy, the date feature when uploading receipts is a little off. You can't customize flex time and we have to rely on another tool to track that.

Our team is enjoying Sage, it’s helped plenty with organizing several moving parts. We look forward to using it as we continue to grow.

Very easy to use. Sage does a great job of aligning our team and making management effortless on a weekly basis.

The mobile app lacks functionality, would be great to see it improve.

I've been very pleased with Sage HR. We were doing paper time-off requests previously and kept in a notebook. This is WONDERFUL in comparison!

The ease of seeing a calendar with all employee's time-off in one spot. It makes scheduling so much easier.

It can be a bit cumbersome to figure all the details out to start, but worth it.

Overall I think there's needs to be a program update to make Sage HR easier to use. The site isn't very helpful it makes easy task take longer than what is needed.

The dashboard is helpful and that's about it. The timesheets feature isn't easily to maneuver, syncing calendars is a headache. Punching in on military time with no clear option for users in the US is ridiculous.

Very hard to maneuver, not user friendly for newbies whatsoever. I find it very to do easy task, everything is all over the place. The signature template does not work. Customer service doesn't have US hours so I've had to meet before work hours.

In general, I have very positive feelings for the program. As soon as Sage Cloud Accounting was introduced, I believe I may have been one of a few users who asked if payroll will be included at some point.

It is moderately easy to use.

When employee data is imported from Sage 50 CA desktop, the pay information such as salaries for the employees is not picked up. Then I have to manually enter.

But sometimes when information is manually entered, on the first try is will not save and have to re-enter.

Will recommend this product to other employers. Very simple to use and customer support is available for help when needed.

Onboarding workflows make it easy to bring on new employees. Sharing of private documents with employees is seamless and time saving. Customer service reps are always available to help.

There are no cons. I am content with using this product.

I love Sage HR. It simplifies payroll and employee information; making everything for me organized and easy to track.

I love that the payroll figures all taxes for you. I also love that the payroll tells you how much your employee truly costs you to employ them. I love that I can pull up a report and it tells me exactly how much I owe the government.

In the payroll, I don’t like how I need to go to different areas to posted my payroll. I have to input I paid my employee in one tab, then go to another tab and input I paid the taxes and vacation pay.

Good customer service over chat. Easy to set up our complicated policies and have the software manage accordingly.

Very easy to use and intuitive, simple yet robust. Easy to customize - powerful enough to manage our policy.

The only thing I don’t love is the calendar view - it’s not that helpful.

From the moment we purchased our product we received exceptional customer service from the SAGE Team.

I am VERY pleased with all of our SAGE Products, from accounting, payroll and HR. It is helping us being more productive and efficient. Will be recommending SAGE.

I am beginner as Sage HR and accounting and I like it. You can connect both and the info transmission between the 2 is very fast and easy. I love that you can make taxes declaration instantly with the accounting book. It connects to so many country with rules and laws applicable.

French use which I prefer. Easy to understand for beginner and very small business, Price are good for the use I made it. We are only 2 employees and it's great for us.

The only con is that I booked a 30 minutes demo with Sage representative and it never happened so I taught myself to use the software.

Although I have requested access to Sage Pay for payroll and have never received any follow-up, I find the software easy to use and easy to communicate information.

The ease of producing payroll and transmitting it into Sage Accounting is really appreciated and the ability to communicate information with the government quickly.

I have been requesting access to direct payroll with Sage Pay for over 1 month and have never received a follow-up.

Great and simple tool that is quickly setup and helps keeping an overview of employees, timeoff, vacation and basic HR reporting.

Simple and clean user interface.
Very easy approval process for timesheets, vacation, etc --> also with a great Slack integration.
Nice org chart feature helping to keep an overview.

Little individualization possible to view eg. all employees that have time off in the next week.
