Overall this is a functional site for our secure uploads of banking and personnel information to our company accountant. It is not particularly user-friendly for the non-tech savvy, and the design and navigation is clunky and has the feel of an old school 2000s website rather than a streamlined modern design promoting easy use. Some of the prompts and buttons are very confusing, such as the "add" button next to pinned folders. This site is usable for our organization but it is not one I spend more time with than absolutely necessary.

Secure database, short upload times, good search features to find past uploaded documents, easy to use once certain functions are enabled, download notifications to see who has received the items requested/uploaded.

Difficult to navigate between folders in an account from an non-administrative end, upload process can be confusing when trying to upload to specific folders, pinning folders to Home Screen is not intuitive and using pinned folders is confusing because the "Add" button does not mean upload but means add another pinned folder.

Overall, SmartVault has been the best platform for us to share files with teams. Its team collaboration functions make it handy. I highly recommend SmartVault for file storage.

From file storage to file sharing SmartVault provides a secured and seamless platform for business. I liked its collaboration features. It's easy to transfer files around anywhere. The interface is also easy to understand.

There's no downside I experienced on this platform.

I have used this application for more than 4 years with excellent results. Great customer service when something went wrong and easy to use.

Makes storing cloud copies of tax returns and source documents a snap. Also allows for easy file sharing to/from clients. The integration with DocuSign makes getting signatures simple as well.

Wish that it had a Droid app, I use the Apple version which works great, but would like the same experience with my Droid devices.

If you are currently using paper based filing systems and are looking to move to a paperless environment then you SmartVault could easily be the solution you need.

Superb solution for all practice document management, in particular the client portal and auto-generation of folder structures when onboarding clients.

The site has been reported by a coworker to go down due to heavy traffic, although this has never happened to me personally.

I use this filing system on a daily basis and I am happy with it. I mostly am checking out/checking in XL and PDF documents and everything works just fine.

1) Sometimes there is a bit of lag when jumping around and opening files.
2) It would nice to check out a file in a non-editable manner so that you can be sure you do not make any changes to a file you are viewing .

I like everything about SmartVault! It has easy to use features and is very secure. It has saved our firm time and money and eliminated the paper mailing of information.

My small accounting firm has used SmartVault for many years with very little issues. We find it consistent and much cheaper then a lot of options out there.

SmartVault is easy to use on our end as the CPA firm, its cheaper and provides consistent service to our clients.

There are permissions issues for our clients trying to get in their folders. We have to reset it often.

Overall, I prefer it to Dropbox due to the portal. Looks professional for clients.

A little difficult for clients to learn. Interface needs to be fully updated.

I prefer this to any other dropbox I have used in the past and truly recommend this for other offices who need high security dropbox options.

I enjoy the safety features provided by SmartVault. The interface is user friendly and easy to train new members of our office to use.

I have found that when I upload large items or multiple items, it has a tendency to freeze up.

We could not be happier. We used to use Lacerte DMS. It was a nightmare. Always having to reformat and things kept in diff folders. Data was not easily found either. With SV connected desktop software we can find any client easily.

The 100% reliability is the key. We love how SmartVault is integrated with Intuit/Lacerte. It makes our lives simple, efficient, and stress-free.

In mid-2019 SV did an update that made uploading files more stable and faster. Since then I honestly have no complaints. We upgraded our internet speed for faster uploads and using SV is just a breeze. I did think of one issue, but I do not know if the problem is Lacerte's fault or SV? Sometimes a client may already be in SV with years of historical data, but SV will create a new folder for that client under their Lacerte client ID? So a duplicate of sorts. I have not found a consistent pattern and never complained because it's rare and random.

Overall, I love this software. Whenever I have any issues I can rely on their customer service chats to help me out.

I like how easy it is to use such as using it with other products and how easy it is for my clients to use. Very simple and straightforward, I can always find what I'm looking for.

I didn't like how in one of the previous updates it removed some of the engagements I could use such as Accounting Services. I am only allowed to use the Tax engagement now which is not the only type of engagement I need.

Within two to three days of getting SmartVault and setting it up, I knew I would not be without it again. This software has significantly reduced my stress levels on the job and increased my work capacity.

Allows me to keep all client statements, reports, and documents in good order, with everything easy and quick to access. It's on the cloud, so I don't have to worry about losing all those documents due to a hard drive problem. Last but not least, clients don't have to email me documents, they can upload them directly, which is much more secure. SmartVault makes my solo bookkeeping practice look very pro!

Getting some jobs done is a little cumbersome because it's necessary to switch views within the platform.

Along with every feature for seamless use of cloud storage for confidential documents, the customer support is pretty nice. I have been using it for collaborated work with my colleagues remotely.

SmartVault has allowed me to keep client files securely in the cloud without taking valuable space on my computer.

The ability for my clients to have their sensitive documents in a secure cloud base format where we both can access anytime. Clients like the ease of finding our shared documents in one place. I have all my clients upload their employee and contractor documents into SmartVault so I can enter the information into the accounting software and the documents will always be in a secure environment.

Excel files don't capture correctly when printing the file.

I mainly use SmartVault for storing and sharing financial reports and other files that need to be safely sent to/from my clients. The user interface is professional looking and a step up from what I was using. At some point I need to take the time to meet with someone and really gain a better understanding of how some of the features work.

It is great for securely sharing financial reports. The templates are great, once you learn how to use them.

There is a pretty big learning curve to the software.
