    It definitely is useful, but you also really need to be careful not to allow an untrusted person use TeamViewer because it allows full remote access to your computer.

    Sometimes you need help with using a complicated software and you just can't get it explained well enough via any other way. I was in such a situation when my lab got a new advanced microscope and the control software was so complicated we had to get the manufacturer / vendor to walk us through it remotely with Teamviewer.

    There are very real security risks to allowing full control of your computer from a remote location, and this cannot be stressed enough - you should only use it with a trusted person.

    Customer support service is very bad.

    Altogether, it provides well security as it tells when someone has joined and automatically changes the last used password after every meeting to assure privacy and prevent snooping. Ability to manage the quality and resolution of video help a lot when you want to save some data. If you have a good connection to the internet it works wonderfully.

    I have used TeamViewer mostly for completing team projects, where we can talk and perform it at the same time. It provides multiple members to join together and collaborate with the remote access feature. The drawing board comes very headily during a team meeting.

    The only major con of TeamViewer is that it requires a fast and stable internet connection. If the internet is not fast enough it won't let you join the meet. Apart from this, it works amazing.

    The application can be more user-friendly and less technical so every user can use it easily.
    Sometimes you face an issue if two machines are using different versions of the software.
    While file transferring you can only transfer files up to 25 MB, this limitation can increase.

However, since it has consistently been my favorite remote access to the device, it becomes much easier to link the tools, I use it constantly to gain access to the VPS web servers, my work computer system or my computer system.
