What is Chatty?

Chatty is a specialized desktop chat tool designed exclusively for Twitch, emulating the experience of classic IRC clients. It functions seamlessly on Windows and any device equipped with Java 8 or higher, allowing users to participate in multiple channels via tabbed interfaces, split views, or separate windows. This application offers an extensive range of features including the ability to favorite channels, keep chat logs, apply customizable message highlighting and ignoring, personalize chat colors and fonts, and choose from various themes, including a dark mode. Users receive notifications when channels they follow go live and can conveniently initiate streams in their preferred web browser or use external tools like Streamlink for quick access. For streamers, Chatty includes a comprehensive suite of tools to manage stream titles, select games and tags, run advertisements, showcase recent followers and subscribers, and review viewer analytics through graphical representations. The moderation features are robust, incorporating customizable user dialogs, AutoMod support, and the ability to create unique commands. Additionally, the client supports emotes from services like FrankerFaceZ and BetterTTV, provides a unified bot badge, and allows for emote tab completion, thereby enriching the user experience.
