    The best Office suite for Linux so far

    I know ONLYOFFICE because it's used as the office suite in my university's Owncloud and found it really useful and feature rich for an online editor.
    It has a very good web interface, better than Office 365's web version. I recently picked it up as my daily driver for my desktop. Since I use Linux, I've always relied on Google Drive and a wine installation of MS Office. Libreoffice is very functional but too bloated and isn't as compatible with MS Office as I'd like. ONLYOFFICE has a nice visual interface (although not native-looking), has tabs for the opened files and feels more like MS Office which honestly is the golden standard for office suites but doesn't run well with Wine.
    Since they offer paid variants, I hope that the development pace will be good and the (mostly minor) shortcomings are going to be ironed out in the not too distant feature. It's definitely worth it to try ONLYOFFICE or at least keep an eye on the project.

    I have used ONLYOFFICE for a few years now and overall it is a good product. The only thing I don't like is that it is not always easy to find what I am looking for, but overall it is a good product.

    Excellent Collaboration Tool

    On documents and presentations, there is greater collaboration and cooperation. We used to send Word documents to a number of individuals and then try to reconcile them at the end. We are unable to use GSuite due to security concerns. Even if we could, we would rather not have "upgrades" forced upon us.

    Meetings have been much more productive as a result of the cooperation and simultaneous editing. We can not only discuss what needs to be updated, but we can also update it right away.

    There is currently nothing about the product that I hate; it checks all of the criteria. The only problem is that I don't get a warning when I exit a file I'm working on.

    When working with a loosely spread team of people on a regular communal activity, it provides significant efficiencies. It's a fantastic solution for social projects, and best of all, it's free.

    Very strong interoperability with office file formats and layouts, and it's free to use on the desktop (in a variety of operating systems). ONLYOFFICE is also installed on my smartphone (iOS and Android).

    The only thing that would change is the chat system... It does, however, provide access to a private server.
    Many times, you don't want to waste energy configuring functionalities; instead, you want to take advantage of the platform's benefits.
    I'd like to include a section for article management to the invoicing area so that it's easier to work with. This is a crucial component in invoice creation.

    As a user, all my companies (and possibly our customers) enjoy a great user experience, very close to the Microsoft suite but with the ability to install everything online and on their own servers. Other than that, the compatibility with document formats is really great (we ran some quick tests and it's really impressive). After all, open source offers more opportunities to implement any crazy idea than deep integration into a code base like Office or Google.

    ONLYOFFICE is best on its own but one thing it lacks, great UI. In next update they should add support of Pivot files.
