    I am a undergraduate student who uses the OnlyOffice free plan. I signed up for OnlyOffice after learning that it was a highly recommended alternative to the Google and Microsoft document editing software lines of products. Its many features, particularly cloud storage and autosave, and security and privacy protections were what interested me most. I have used OnlyOffice for at least 15 text-based and image-based essays and projects in my education, as well as for personal needs. I would recommend that anybody who uses Microsoft Office or the Google suite of products immediately switch to OnlyOffice. It is a great company that makes superior products.

    Very good alternative to Microsoft 365.
    I wrote my PhD manuscrit and presentation initially in Word and PowerPoint.
    Then I moved to Linux (Ubuntu) and OnlyOffice.
    It worked very well with both documents, which were very complex in terms of advanced functionalities.
    Also, AI integration is very easy as well as the other plugins

    Negative

    Basic functionalities:
    - Math AutoCorrect doesn't work (-> should generate → for instance, or +- should generate ±, etc.) which is very annoying
    For academics:
    - Mendeley (a reference manager software) doesn't for desktop editors which is very limiting
    - Zotero (another manager software) doesn't work well. So, a workaround is needed to update citation number by downloading and editing the script from GitHub (which as far as I know only works with flatpak and not snap)
