It's a perfect communication tool make my professional and personal life easy. It matches my business size and helps me easy to communicate with my team. Sharing documents is very convenient and time saving. You should must try slack it well designed and works perfect what they promise.

Many times they release buggy update. Messages are not end to end encrypted.

Overall, I prefer this over Microsoft Teams. It's got some minor issues, which may be more of a problem if you have an older computer or a flakey internet connection. I'd recommend if you have problems with font rendering to use the browser version on PC. There's also the theme glitching with the Android app, but that can easily be worked around. I haven't had any major issues with it and would love to see even more app integration. While the main focus of Slack is for professional usage, I could see, with some more apps added, that it could also be great for family/household management as well. I really like the theme choices and the ability to customize the theme, and the custom emojis, even though this doesn't really improve anything about using Slack itself. It's all the little things about it that make me enjoy it more than Teams, and for a non-professional comparison, Discord. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try, whether for work or for personal use.

There are a wide range of apps available to integrate with Slack, including popular ones you'd expect. There are lots of themes to choose from and you can even customize it. Small things like this, which don't overall affect useability, make my enjoyment of logging in just a little bit more and I wish more developers these days would get past the whole light/dark mode. So I really appreciate the base 20 themes available. Works across multiple platforms, so you can use it on PC or your phone with ease. Gifs, audio, video, upload everything with ease. You can upload tons of custom emojis too. Compared to Teams, I feel like overall, it runs smoother most of the time.

I'd prefer more darker themes added and even more app integration. Sometimes, it lags on the computer if you're using the downloaded software. This version can have issues with font rendering as well, depending on your computer. I haven't encountered these issues in the Android app or browser versions. Only the Windows program seemed to have this issue, and only on my old laptop. My other computer, which is a newer desktop, does not have this issue. Despite following suggestions, sometimes custom emojis don't render quite right either. It's very trial and error. The Android app has issues with keeping theme preferences if the theme was set through the app itself, but doesn't seem to have this issue if you set the theme through a browser on a computer or the Windows software.

Slack helps me a lot during lock down! I communicate with my colleagues and family members. I regularly do official work using it. Screen sharing is also helping a lot. I feel it has an edge over Zoom.

Slack works on different operating systems, hence it gives me freedom to use from any computer. Moreover, it can also be used on mobile. I also like its capability of sending media files like audio/video. Hence, it gives extra wings to the user.

I do not like its poor sharing screen feature. However, apart from this, I did not find anything to complain for.

I have been using Slack for the last 6 months and I am fully satisfied using it. The application is easy to use and can be integrated with other tools such as Zapier, Mailchimp, Google Drive. The mobile application is easy to navigate with great features.

The application is a bit slow and is not suitable for a quick conversation with my teammates. I found myself using WhatsApp to get the conversation going. The application can be updated to match some features of WhatsApp although the later is not a project management tool it is great for having a quick conversation.

It just works. It's easy to use, our users love it, and it integrates with everything. Bonus : it's nice to hook up news, weather, what-have-you to your feeds and have everything in one place.

Slack integrates well with almost every piece of software out there and has all the built in functionality that you'd expect from a number of chat software solutions out there for enterprises.

It's easy to get engulfed in Slack and lose productivity since it's so interactive and has so many functions to keep you interested. That said, there's great features to limit your usage and be able to adjust the notification settings to give you back more control.

The app is super intuitive and user-friendly and even our least tech savvy team members have had an easy time acclimating to using it. It's a great option for teams that find themselves with extremely long and confusing email threads-- Slack helps keep things organized and clear.

Chat is like email but 1000x better. Like email, it shows conversations in a specific context (known as channels in Slack), so even if you work with many of the same people on multiple projects, you can have clear conversations about discreet topics without things getting confused across projects. The app has so many integrations with other tools, pretty much anything you can think of that your team could be using. You can view every file that has been sent in a conversation (almost like WhatsApp).

It would be awesome if you could also se all links that have been shared in a channel or conversation in addition to all files.
It would be helpful for teams to discuss norms around how to use Slack. Slack isn't as effective if everyone you're working with is using it. Our team has had issues with people not using Slack because they prefer other methods.
Slack also presents some problems with feeling like you have to answer every message immediately (somehow this isn't as much an issue over email), plus it can blur the boundary of when is OK to message someone outside of work hours. Along those lines though, a perk is that you can adjust your settings to shut off notifications after work hours.

This software is an excellent alternative to the Discord platform that can be used by businesses and schools.

The software is very easy to use. The people on my team who are not too good with technology have managed to use this software very well and with no issues.
The GUI is great. The features it provides are great.
The free tier's features are good enough, that paying for the higher tier is not required.
The message encryption is good for any saucy secrets I want to share with others.

It can sometimes take a while to boot up the program. However, this is very rare and has only happened to me a couple of times.
No theme customization, which is a little disappointing.

I highly recommend Slack if you're looking for an internal communication software. There are so many different ways to use this software to make it work for you and your company.

Slack gives a central operational platform where we can perform communication and integration of business tools. One thing I liked most about Slack is that it's a cross-platform software that makes handy to communicate especially on a mobile platform.

We can integrate tons of business tools such as currently we are using Zoom and Trello integrations. Using Slack gives us a proper spot to perform many business activities which saves time. It improves team communication.

The thing I don't like was its custom trigger option.

I have used Slack when working for different companies and every single time it was amazing.
It's really good to post questions because you get answers quickly and you can get rooms to separate the subjects.
It keeps an history of your messages and it is specially good when working in a remote environment because of how fast it is to do anything in Slack.

Slack is a very good tool for communication between departments and co-workers. It provides a very good integration with G Suite which gives it an edge over its competitors.
