Overall, Slack has improved internal communications across all the branches in our entire organization.

I like that Slack allows me to send files of all assortments in the cloud.
Additionally, Slack enhances team collaboration across the entire enterprise.

Currently, I don't have any challenge that I can really outline.

Slack is a powerful messaging tool which provides a lot of collaboration features and even integrates with a lot of productivity apps making it a great choice. It really makes team work efficient.

Overall experience is good. I particularly like the sense of transparency it gives to our organization like we have a lot of different channels for business areas but they're all open for other employees to join and see what's being discussed.

Pros are as follows:
- Categorize discussions by channels.
- Fast, powerful mobile app.
- Almost all-in-one communication tool (chat and audio/video).
- Integrations with Google Drive, Trello, etc.

Cons. are as follows:
- Unable to share my screen on the web version.
- For big organizations, (probably +150-200 employees) it might add too much noise if not managed correctly.

I think Slack has emerged as the winner over a plethora of collaboration and team communication apps today. Although desktop integration could be made better I really think this app makes our lives easier.

- It has a very rich collection of customization options and built-in productivity tools.
- Feels really lightweight unlike apps like Skype and yet has the most features.
- Blends in quite well with other apps.
- Quite easy to share all sorts of documents.

- The video quality is not up to the mark leading to the need for other apps like Zoom just for audio and video conferencing.
- A WhatsApp like feature to show who has read your message would make it easier for managers to check if their message has reached everyone.

Slack's pretty robust, offering centralized messaging for organizations, video and voice calls, file sharing, and even calendar notifications via Slackbots that can be installed. But the pricing is horrible for smaller organizations, and its standalone app sometimes feels like it uses more CPU and memory than the webapp in a browser.

I've used Slack as a student, as a researcher, and as an employee of Fortune 500 companies. The teams I've been on like using Slack's workplaces over other options for messaging like Facebook groups or email, because Slack provides a central repository for organizational knowledge. The ability to search and reference guidelines from months ago is a huge help, and the analytics about user activity week by week helps us measure team engagement. There are many plugins and extensions (not sure if that's the right term here, but you get the idea) that integrate with Slack and make it more effective productivity wise, but it's also easy to waste time playing with Slack emoji reactions like :party_parrot: and Giphy.

Slack is a bit expensive. Even if you're a student org, the pricing is not friendly, and definitely not scalable. And with the free version you'll quickly hit a message limit of a few thousand messages (implementing Slack etiquette like telling people to post longer messages instead of many separate one line messages in a row helps, but it goes against instinct). Once that limit is hit, your org loses the ability to look up older messages and files, and that kinda defeats the purpose of Slack.

I liked the ease at which I can discuss with the team and integrate my marketing tools under one roof. I also liked that I can manage all of my workflows. Slack makes my work incredibly efficient.

Slack is incredibly easy to use software. I can discuss, track task progress, manage projects, share files, integrated with the meeting, marketing and help desk solutions using Slack software and make my work life simple.

There isn't a lot of things I don't like about Slack.

Slack is the leading team communication platform. Overall I use slack to remove the communication gap when working remotely. It also helps me simplify my task management using its wide support of tools integrations. It's my favorite and I highly recommend slack for your team communication.

I have some issues with the dark mode in Slack.

Slack always keeps me updated when it comes to communication or integration with tools. It acts as a multi-tasker and does many activities from one section.

Slack is more than a team communication platform. It allows me to add many business software to its integration support, this feature makes the slack a very valuable tool to perform the integrated business activity without closing the slack.

As a whole Slack is a great app, it is on of those app that you get what you pay for and in this instance it is a great product. The people that will most benefit from using slack is those people that work on a small group or a small start up. The free version is usually enough for the average user.

There is a lot to like about Slack, The slick but simple user interface that the app is presented with makes it easy for any user to navigate through allows to connect to your peers easier than ever before. The app is also highly customizable according towards your individual preference.

The price. There is an expensive tag that comes along with it. It is not the cheapest on the market but also not the most expensive. If you opt for the free version of the app they limit the tools available such as integration and search limits.

Love the ease of the ability of it being an app on my phone, and I can bring it anywhere I go. Being in administration, I am ALWAYS on the go. There is no wasted time, because I can communicate things right away.

Thankfully with slack, I am able to work from anywhere, especially in the times of COVID when we are getting lockdown on a moments notice.

I have yet to have any real issue, and when I do run into a problem, the customer service is amazing and quick!

Slack is a robust tool. It provides us everything we can ask from a communication and collaboration tool. We are very dependent on Slack for our remote work. In this current situation, Slack helps us to work efficiently. The Zendesk support can also be integrated with this software.

You can also make communication and collaboration using Slack on Android/ios mobile devices. The Zendesk service can also get integrated with this software. The UX design is fabulous. We provide unrestricted integrations and customization.

Everyone in our department loved the Slack tool. No cons.

Would recommend. I use it daily for work and rarely am I frustrated with it or looking for additional features.

Slack makes it easy to organize your conversations and to-do lists. I like that there are different channels, and that you can set and snooze reminders for conversations. I love the threads feature as well.

This is minimal, but I do not like how your channel names must be one word.

Wonderful app no doubt, have few issues but have much more potential than one can ever imagine. Really up-to-date apps list for integration, recommended if you work with a small group.
Some ran into issues with larger team.

Every day is easier in this current scenario where you can't go to your workplace to hold meetings, all the apps you want to connect are already here, including cloud storage, document processors Nice interface, modern but not trying to hard.

Moving in between teams should be little bit easier.
UI is a little confusing, maybe make a separate screen with all groups.

I am a very big fan of Slack. My three person team uses Slack everyday and we are never worried about conversations we have over slack getting lost. I would recommend to teams big and small.

Slack is great at allowing you to have conversations about different topics at the same time (via channels). It’s also great for allowing you to search past conversations quickly and comprehensively.

Call quality could be better on mobile devices. Also, the price for the paid version could be a bit lower.

Slack is a very integral tool and allows teams to communicate more freely and often times less formally than email which allows for things to be done more efficiently and quickly. It is an excellent tool for tracking the progress of projects and an excellent way to keep information about specific clients or projects all in one place.

I like the ability to add different "channels" to track different projects or clients which cuts down on searching through threads of unrelated messages for information. Slack has great search ability and allows you to search all of your channels and find information quickly. There are some fun emojis and gifs which make communication more lighthearted and fun.

I find it frustrating that you cannot preview documents uploaded to slack, the only option is to open download the document and then open it which can be time consuming and annoying when you didn't actually want to open a particular document. I would find it very helpful to be able to mark particular messages as unread, as you can do within an email inbox, so that you can easily return to the message.

Totally, the interface seems good. It is available for various operating systems including Linux. Good if we know how to use it.
For beginners its little bit hard to understand.

It's a good platform for messaging for those who already know about threads and all. We can create different threads to talk about different topics separately.

Threads became more confusing for me as I was using the software fo the first time. I even missed my online course deadlines and some other activities due to this confusion.

Overall, an excellent program that was overdue. It's becoming more and more mainstream so even different organizations can communicate on different workspaces without needing to create an email for every little piece of communication.

You can make slack so much fun. Emojis and custom emoji overload. More than anything it has helped segment conversations between teams and departments into relevant chats, and in the paid version becomes a searchable spot where you can fairly easily find old conversations.

Like social media platforms, has the potential to creep into your personal life. Delete it from your phone and just use it on your work computer if you can, because some people will message you at night or on the weekends, and nobody wants to see that!

Overall Slack is a great communication tool and in my company we've been using it as the main communication tool for a long time.

Slack is a communication tool for teams. You can create different channels for different teams, projects, and it is very good. Categories, different type of processes in different channels, keep conversations restricted with respect to channels.

I would suggest that search bar needs some improvements.

My overall experience has been 100 percent on the positive side, it makes new names of productivity in the team. Overall, if you are searching for a powerful and integrated inbound communication tool, then Slack is the best option.

As an administrator and user, I highly recommend Slack for business communication. It increases the collaborative spirit of the team. On the positive side, slack is very user friendly, has tons of integration support and has multiple communication options.
