Slack is a professional brand that is consistent and reliable for me and my company's needs. I would definitely recommend them to any small-medium size business.

Easy way for me and my team to communicate. We can share files and even connect Google Docs to make sharing a bit easier. Never many issues with maintenance and always reliable!

Honestly, not much that I can think of that I don't like.

I send quick messages to my clients through it and Slack helps in pinning chats for others who may not be on shift right away. This gives me freedom to do more positive things.

It is very easy to use along with user friendly approach. I also appreciate its facility to discuss important things with others.

Nothing specific to dislike but one can easily distracted from his work by reading hundreds of messages received.

If you want to simplify your communication to one application, I think Slack would be a great app to do so.

The Slack app is awesome. I really like being able to connect different apps to my Slack channel (such as Google Calendar, Dropbox, etc.). It makes it much easier to balance a busy schedule!

I have only had issues with using trying to integrate some apps into my Slack channel, but most of the issues are due to the app itself, not Slack. So no cons from me!

My previous company used this for day to day communication so everyone could chat independent of any specific medium but I never really got into it. Maybe they have come a long way since then but it wasn't right for me. Lots of my team members loved it though.

Device agnostic is a bonus and for people who use lots of different communication mediums it is ideal.

Just another chat to monitor and mostly duplicates of things you need to read elsewhere and with more features elsewhere.

Slack is a very handy platform to get connected with the management team. We are very much impressed with its features. It fills our communication gap when working remotely.

Overall there are much better apps available in the market which can serve much better features than this.

It has a really good user interface and really handy to manage my calls and chats. Overall it is a really good application for business purposes.

I'm using this software in my office for chatting with my subordinate and clients. It has lot of good features and functions like multiple distribution channels for chatting. It has a really good merging capability with Google Drives plus it has a really good privacy policy.

I couldn't find any bugs or glitches till now in my use, if i find some i will definitely contact customer support team.

I can't believe Slack is free. It's an excellent communication product that my team and I use every day to manage very detailed projects.

I run a remote digital marketing & graphic design business. That being said, there are a lot of details that go into instructing graphic & web designers on how to make the client happy. Slack gives us the ability to communicate on different channels segmented by project and then when the project is done, we can archive those inactive channels. Slack allows for text, images, bulleted & numbered lists, and is overall way better than email & text.

Some people feel that Slack is overwhelming, and I understand that if you go overboard with the number of channels you have, then it would be. It's very important to manage the number of channels you have, then the tool is excellent.

Overall, I am grateful that Slack has a mobile application that eases business instant messaging as well getting instant notifications.

It has been perfectly effective and easy to manage tasks via Slack as we integrated it with Teamwork.

I do not have any flaw that I encounter while using Slack.

Slack can be used on various platforms that can be deployed on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone which provides your entire team a great way to communicate on various devices. It provides really great tools ranging from file sharing, video conferences and chatting in real time. We have used this tool in our business for over a year now and everyone is very happy with the results that are provided. It helps us work better and best of all it keeps all of us organized.

Not everything in the world is perfect, there are times if you have a lot of messages can be a bit hard to search for a certain message or if you have lot's of rooms to get everything categorized. Notifications can sometimes arrive pretty late depending on the device you are using.

Overall, with Slack, you get a quite good and intuitive user interface so that you can exchange messages, however, they should provide more messages in the trial version.

You get a lot of support and help from the inbuilt chatbot.
Emojis and custom emojis make the chats a lot more fun and interesting with the members.

They should provide more features in the free version so the user can try the application thoroughly before opting for the paid version.

We spend many hours daily on this platform. We use slack to solve the limitations of our internal communication. Slack gives us the power to enhance its productivity using many integrations. The app is very polished and gives us the best communication spot.

Our company has a large team that is spread across the world and using Slack can be so useful when staying in touch with them. It is really great to have one single tool that I can use to send messages, share files, have video calls, and share my screen. Once you get used to it and are familiar with its full potential the sky is the limit for you. I strongly recommend it to people to try it and master it. It can be a really fun and satisfactory experience.

The pros that I can think of are as follows
1. Slack Bots: We keep track of operations inside our company (server health, script updates, entertainment(we have a joke bot in our company)) using bots.
2. Dark mode: The dark mode is a real godsend when you are working for long hours because staring at a white screen for long periods can be stressful.
3. Emojis: The wide array of emojis and the option to create custom emojis which are specific to your company make conveying your thoughts easier and in making your conversations a little light-hearted.
4. Channels and threads: The ability to create channels and threads is really valuable when you want to communicate with a larger group.
5. Multi-platform: Slack works on browser, has a marvelous web app, and a pretty great mobile app so it is easy to stay in touch with your colleagues irrespective of the platform you are on.
6. File sharing: Sharing files is very easy and is just a simple drag and drop and you can send almost any type of file to your colleagues.
7. Code indenting: Sharing a snippet of code with fellow devs can be really easy and intuitive thanks to the code indenting feature.

There are very few cons that I can think of but here are a couple.
1. Lack of a read feature: You can’t know if your recipient has read your message or not. It would be nice to have a blue tick sort of feature like you have in WhatsApp and iMessage
2. Reliability: It is not a big red flag but I’ve had the app freeze and shut down a few times. Again this happens very rarely and is not something to worry about.
