    The people behind the company are FANTASTIC! They are prompt, responsive, helpful and truly knowledgeable on how to get the software to work best for your firm. Our rep is Sean Parker, JD. It seems we always call him in a crisis and he immediately finds an answer or solution for us. He puts us in contact with whoever is the best person within the company and they immediately help our firm. Sean’s direct number is 239-398-3703 and his email is sean@smartadvocate.com. If you need a case management software for your firm, you have to at least speak to Sean to see how it can greatly improve your productivity, organization, reduce the time it takes to move a case, keep your staff on task and help take some of the load off of you!

    It is truly such a powerful software. It has an office calendar, a case calendar, you can tag certain staff members, email anyone associated with the case, keep track of all the case details, all the case expenses, all the case contacts, it has automated features, you can create custom reports and automate them. It can notify you when a case meets a certain stage. You can fully customize the stages and steps of a case. It has workplans, you can automate the workplans, it can automatically assign work to certain staff members at certain times. The list goes on and on.

    It is complex and requires training to set it up. It takes time and a lot of thought in designing the software to your firm.

    Some data can only be edited in non-intuitive ways i.e. the SOL can't be changed from the summary tab where it is displayed, but needs to be changed from a separate tab "critical deadlines" etc.

    Like any program it has its quirks and takes some time to get use to but once you do it becomes such a helpful tool.

    Smart Advocate is easy and self-explanatory once you get accustomed to using inputting all the details, it helps a lot throughout all the stages of the case. Smart Advocate has helped us keep better track of all the deadlines. The note section specifically is helping everyone who needs to know the details of the case, what is going on, and should the client call and have any questions; anyone can help them once they read the notes on the case

    No longer being able to add a new contact from disbursements directly. Also, not being able to save a word document from my Microsoft Word directly onto Smart Advocate, I can only upload it from the web browser.

    I have been very pleased. When I call and say this is Steve Collins they know who I am even though they have numerous customers. I just couldn't imagine a better experience.

    Always helpful and great response time. Any time I would call (yes they still use a phone even though they have a chat box) or send an email they provide actual assistance before most places have you enter you code # for the 10th time. The system combines resources from text messages to clients to legal pleadings. Everything is in one place.

    If I have to list one it would be setting the system up but I don't think you could have as good a system without setting it up the way you want it. It just takes some time but is well worth it.

    Overall this software is good. It is easy to navigate, keeps everything in one place, and is easy to organize.

    Everything can be in one place. The note feature makes it easy to follow along with what has happened in a file. You can send links to documents via email to coworkers. There are regular seminars to beef up your knowledge of how best to use the software.

    We have a chat system that automatically creates files for contacts regardless of if there is already a file in the system for them. We are unable to delete contacts so we have to manually find them and rename the duplicates as "unknown".
