Been using this weekly for the past two months for different document-related tasks. The arrangement of things in this program never causes me confusion, and I'm able to accomplish my tasks in just a couple of clicks most of the time.

All things are logically kept in order on the home page, and finding the tool that I want takes just seconds without any cluttering menu and nonsense navigation.

Some tool descriptions might be more detailed, since users not familiar with PDF-specific terms might not understand what the feature does.

Signed a dozen freelance agreements this month using the signature function. It only took about 30 seconds per agreement – just had to open the PDF, place the signature where it needed to go, and download. Clients ended up with properly signed agreements without me having to print, sign, scan, and email back. The only small pain is having to recreate the signature each time, but it's still much easier than the old way.

The electronic signature feature is clean and simple to use. Used my trackpad to draw my signature, and it looked professional enough for client agreements without having to use a stylus or scan a physical signature.

Would be great to have the ability to save multiple signature designs so I don't have to recreate it every time I sign a different agreement.

I photograph all my business receipts and needed them in one PDF for reimbursement. zen docs combined them quickly and the quality was good enough for accounting to process. Only hiccup was making sure photos uploaded in the right order.

Compressing large pdf files reduced size enough for email without making text unreadable. The process was quick and didn’t require tweaking advanced settings.

A pitch deck for a vendor presentation had to be sent as a PDF. The conversion was perfect, and the PDF looked exactly the same as the original presentation on all devices.

Processing speed varied – some operations completed in seconds while others took noticeably longer without clear explanation for the delay.

Completed a client handbook in Word and need a locked PDF version for distribution. Conversion took mere seconds and looks identical to my source file down to the last bullet point. Shared it with confidence that nothing moved or broke in transit.

Word to PDF conversion included all my tables, images, and header style types from my original document. Fonts were rendered correctly, spacing was consistent, and it looks identical to what it looks like on my screen in Word before uploading.

No option to edit PDF metadata such as author and title during conversion process. That would have saved me from having to edit it afterward.

The font matching for edited text isn't always great, and some of my replacements look a bit "off" compared to the original font used around them.

had to send employee documents via email and needed an additional layer of security beyond what encryption provided. zendocs gave me ability to lock down each file individually without installing anything. very fast and exactly what i needed.

password-protecting sensitive PDFs took ten seconds. uploaded my file, set credentials, and downloaded an encrypted version that asked for login credentials before opening. whole process was smooth and felt very secure indeed.

no option to set varying permissions such as view only or edit on protected documents.

Tax paperwork came to me as a fillable PDF with all fields filled out correctly on the first try. Signed at the bottom, downloaded, and submitted in ten minutes or less. While there were a few detection issues, it handled 90% of my form work without any problems.

Form fields auto-detected and fill mode enable me to tab through each form field smoothly. Signing at the end of the form felt natural. Once completed, the form exported nicely as a flat PDF, looking great on all devices I've tried so far.

Auto-detection of form fields missed a couple of form fields on complex form layouts. Manually creating form fields is an okay feature, but auto-detection would save me a step significantly.
