The accounting department had to password protect a group of tax returns before distribution. Fast, trustworthy, and no software installation necessary on any computer.

Adding password protection to sensitive client files was a two-step process. Upload, set a password, and download. The encryption seemed robust and the file opened perfectly everywhere.

No option to set different permissions like print-only or read-only access yet.

Had to extract certain chapters from our employee handbook to distribute to different departments. The splitting function allowed me to choose exact page ranges, which was much more efficient than doing it through a word processor or printing to PDF. Took about 5 minutes to create 8 separate files, which would have taken me half an hour otherwise.

Breaking up large files into separate pages or ranges is very easy. Pulled off exactly the part of the 200-page manual I needed in under a minute, and the quality was not affected.

The file naming for split documents is set to generic numbering, so I had to rename them manually.

I used zendocs to complete onboarding paperwork and appreciated being able to pause and resume. Most fields worked fine, though a few needed manual fixes. Overall it was dependable for routine document tasks.

I have not had access and they kept saying I didn’t have an account yet. I’ve been charged twice now and have 19 emails confirming this along with 14 of those promising my money back. It’s been over two weeks and they still haven’t returned my 4988. They’ve charged me twice and all I get back is empty promises by an AI robot telling me to provide my information that I’ve given them six times do not do it save yourself. This crap has made my bank account bounce and I miss my daughter‘s doctor appointment due to it don’t do it. They won’t stop charging your account and give you empty promises of refunds.

The tab order of form fields was not always in the expected order for reading.

The setup took only a few seconds per document, and none of my clients had issues opening the files after I also sent the passwords via text. Greatly helped ease my mind on sending sensitive information by this method instead of unencrypted attachments. Nothing beats security when working with sensitive information.

It would be great to have something like a password strength indicator to confirm users are creating strong and not easily guessable passwords.

I would find a drag-and-drop feature for previewing page rearrangement helpful, but the system of numbers is satisfactory once you become accustomed to it.

I took the financial document, converted it from pdf to Excel, and started working with the information. The majority was successful, aside from the need to clean some of the merged cells. For basic conversions, this tool should be fine. It is not necessarily the most accurate tool I have used, however, it is free, so I am at least 80%.

There were some issues with accuracy in converting tables with complicated structures, such as merged cells – required some cleanup in Excel.
