Password protect in seconds
Date: Feb 24 2026SummaryThe accounting department had to password protect a group of tax returns before distribution. Fast, trustworthy, and no software installation necessary on any computer.
PositiveAdding password protection to sensitive client files was a two-step process. Upload, set a password, and download. The encryption seemed robust and the file opened perfectly everywhere.
NegativeNo option to set different permissions like print-only or read-only access yet.

Split tool saved me
Date: Feb 03 2026SummaryHad to extract certain chapters from our employee handbook to distribute to different departments. The splitting function allowed me to choose exact page ranges, which was much more efficient than doing it through a word processor or printing to PDF. Took about 5 minutes to create 8 separate files, which would have taken me half an hour otherwise.
PositiveBreaking up large files into separate pages or ranges is very easy. Pulled off exactly the part of the 200-page manual I needed in under a minute, and the quality was not affected.
NegativeThe file naming for split documents is set to generic numbering, so I had to rename them manually.

Reliable form filling
Date: Jan 09 2026SummaryI used zendocs to complete onboarding paperwork and appreciated being able to pause and resume. Most fields worked fine, though a few needed manual fixes. Overall it was dependable for routine document tasks.
PositiveFilling pdf forms worked accurately, and saved progress allowed me to return later without losing data. The tool handled standard fields well.
NegativeSome custom form fields didn’t auto-detect properly, so I had to adjust them manually. It wasn’t difficult, just slower than expected.

Scammers
Date: Feb 21 2026SummaryI have not had access and they kept saying I didn’t have an account yet. I’ve been charged twice now and have 19 emails confirming this along with 14 of those promising my money back. It’s been over two weeks and they still haven’t returned my 4988. They’ve charged me twice and all I get back is empty promises by an AI robot telling me to provide my information that I’ve given them six times do not do it save yourself. This crap has made my bank account bounce and I miss my daughter‘s doctor appointment due to it don’t do it. They won’t stop charging your account and give you empty promises of refunds.
PositiveNothing!!!! They are the worst! Do not do it you will be charged over and over again and lies to about refunds
NegativeUnable to access, charges that are promised to be refunded and are not, lies, scammers

Dependable image conversion
Date: Jan 12 2026SummaryI used ZenDocs to merge scanned images into one pdf for archiving. The final file looked clean and professional, with no quality loss. That was exactly what I needed.
PositiveConverting images into a single pdf kept resolution high and alignment consistent. Uploading multiple images was smooth.
NegativeA progress indicator for large image sets would be helpful, especially when uploading many files at once.

quick invoice scanning
Date: Feb 19 2026Summarydigitizing expenses for the week took minutes. scanning fuel receipts in the truck saved a lot of headache later.
Positivescanning receipts with the camera was lightning fast, and the ocr scan was perfect even with some dirt on the paper.
Negativeauto-crop sometimes misses the corners, and i wish there was an option for flash in dark storage units.

Merging made simple
Date: Feb 19 2026SummaryHad to combine a pile of vendor invoices into a single file before a deadline. The entire process took less than three minutes.
PositiveThe merge feature allowed me to merge 12 scanned documents into a single PDF file without any issues. The drag-and-drop functionality made the entire process seem extremely easy and fast.
NegativeThe icons on the toolbar could be a little bigger, had to squint at them on a smaller laptop screen.

Clean interface overall
Date: Jan 08 2026SummaryI spent an afternoon converting and editing files using ZenDocs, and the interface never got in the way. It stayed simple, which helped me focus on the work instead of the tool itself.
PositiveThe layout stayed uncluttered even with multiple tools available, and switching between convert and edit functions felt seamless. Everything loaded without lag.
NegativeMore color theme options would be nice for long sessions, since the default look can feel a bit flat after a while.

Converted pptx to pdf perfectly
Date: Jan 26 2026SummaryI needed to send a pitch deck but didn't want recipients editing it. The PPTX to PDF converter preserved everything perfectly – animations obviously don't work but all the visual content came through clean. File looked professional and was ready to send immediately.
PositivePowerPoint to PDF conversion maintained all slide formatting, images, and text alignment. File size remained reasonable after conversion. Processing was completed in under a minute for a 40-slide deck.
NegativeNo options for selecting specific slides to convert – had to convert the entire presentation and then split the PDF afterward for partial sharing.

form filling feature
Date: Feb 06 2026SummaryHas completed several online rental applications entirely online, as opposed to printing and scanning forms. Most text boxes were easy to fill in, though I noticed that checkboxes required a good clicking a couple of times to get them to register. Being able to save forms was really helpful when I was interrupted in the middle of filling one out.
PositiveFilled out several PDF forms without the need to print them. Text fields function well, and the ability to save a form partway through is actually useful.
NegativeIn some instances, the check box's functionality may require a certain level of clicking, which can be a little irritating at times when trying to go through a long list of check boxes

Smooth form filling
Date: Feb 24 2026SummaryFilling out a permit application used to mean printing, handwriting, and rescanning. This replaced all of that with a clean digital version ready for submission.
PositiveThe fill forms tool was able to automatically detect all fields in a government PDF application. Filling out the boxes felt like typing, and the alignment remained perfect the whole time.
NegativeThe tab order of form fields was not always in the expected order for reading.

Password protect feature
Date: Feb 13 2026SummaryProtected client NDAs and project briefs before sending them via email. The setup took only a few seconds per document, and none of my clients had issues opening the files after I also sent the passwords via text. Greatly helped ease my mind on sending sensitive information by this method instead of unencrypted attachments. Nothing beats security when working with sensitive information.
PositiveSecuring confidential files with password encryption is easy and secure. Provides assurance when divulging confidential details that only preferred persons have access to the files.
NegativeIt would be great to have something like a password strength indicator to confirm users are creating strong and not easily guessable passwords.

Fast merge for client proposals
Date: Jan 22 2026SummaryAssembled a 40-page proposal through combining contracts, case studies, and pricing sheets. ZenDocs handled it seamlessly, and the output PDF document turned out nice and professional. Absolutely no watermarks or quality deterioration. Organized my task of copying all content into a single document through copying and pasting. Very simple process.
PositiveThe merge PDF feature combined 12 documents into a single document in a matter of seconds. The interface is clean and functional and makes it easy to rearrange pages before finalizing. The output is of high quality and preserves all formatting and pictures perfectly without losing their original quality.
NegativeI would find a drag-and-drop feature for previewing page rearrangement helpful, but the system of numbers is satisfactory once you become accustomed to it.

Functional but not fancy
Date: Jan 26 2026SummaryI took the financial document, converted it from pdf to Excel, and started working with the information. The majority was successful, aside from the need to clean some of the merged cells. For basic conversions, this tool should be fine. It is not necessarily the most accurate tool I have used, however, it is free, so I am at least 80%.
PositiveThe free version of PDF to Excel managed to retrieve the table information from the PDF document with fair precision. The “Merge tool” succeeded in merging the documents without making any errors. The free version’s accessibility to most of the essential.
NegativeThere were some issues with accuracy in converting tables with complicated structures, such as merged cells – required some cleanup in Excel.

Protected a sensitive file easily
Date: Jan 23 2026SummaryI had client financial data that I need to secure before storing on shared cloud storage. The password protect tool is great and easy to use. File works wonderfully and asks for password before opening. Simple security tool when you need it
PositiveIt has a password protection feature, which protected a confidential document using encryption. It is user-friendly, as it provides guidelines on generating a password. The document remains fully functional after protection.
NegativeNo option to set different levels for permissions such as read-only and printing restrictions; just a full password lock, which could potentially cause problems for some users.

Password removal when needed
Date: Jan 30 2026SummaryI had an old contract that I had password protected years ago and forgotten the password to. Since I had it saved in my password manager, I was able to unlock it using this tool.
PositivePassword removal tool allowed me to unlock a protected file that I had forgotten the password to (my own file with saved password).
NegativeSecurity verification could be more robust to ensure that it is not misused – although I appreciate the fact that convenience and security are a tricky balance to strike for this functionality.

PDF to word worked well
Date: Jan 22 2026SummaryThey gave me a contract in PDF that I needed to alter in Word. This conversion tool worked great on this document – formatting remained mostly in place, and a simple fix to a few spacing spots needed to be done manually by me. Significantly easier than having to re-type everything out manually.
PositiveExtracted data from a 15-page PDF contract into a Word document with the formatting intact. The tables, bullet points, and information were all extracted properly. It took less than a minute to process.
NegativeThere were a few instances of spacing irregularities that had to be attended to manually after the translation, though nothing major that couldn't be remedied in a few minutes.

No fuss PDF editing
Date: Feb 19 2026SummaryOur office required quick changes to a benefits summary before it could be distributed. The text tool handled paragraph changes without disrupting the page layout.
PositiveEditing the text right within the PDF was surprisingly effective. The font matching was close enough that the changes merged seamlessly with the rest of the text.
NegativeWould like to see an undo history panel instead of just Ctrl+Z.

Solid for student needs
Date: Jan 26 2026SummaryI use Zendocs for merging course PDFs: combining lecture slides, annotating readings, and compressing files so I can then store them in the cloud. It does everything I need and doesn't require me to pay for pro tools. The page limits can be super frustrating when trying to work with particularly long textbooks, but overall its been very reliable all semester.
PositiveEditing and annotating PDFs helped markup lecture notes and textbooks, while the merge feature combined study materials into organized documents. Free tier provides adequate functionality for academic use.
NegativePage limit restrictions on the free tier meant that splitting larger textbooks into multiple operations was a bit tedious for heavy academic workloads.
