For a small business, and for anyone with little email marketing experience, Mailchimp takes the heavy lifting out of it. It's almost too easy to use and set up, and allows you to pretty much drag and drop anything and for it to look very professional.

I didn't like that they are expanding to do ads and landing pages, both of which are probably great solutions, but I felt like they should have just focused on email which they were really great at.

Mailchimp offers a bunch of features for free, including email, surveys, forms, and landing pages/micro websites. Having Mailchimp is like having five or six software products in one. Plus, it’s a relatively straightforward process to upload contact lists, set up email or newsletter templates, build surveys and more. Plus, the analytics make it easy to report on your marketing efforts.

Some of nicer email and newsletter templates require a paid account. Sometimes the drag-and-drop email editor is glitchy, requiring multiple attempts to drop elements in the correct place or getting font and spacing to look just the way you want it.

Mailchimp has become one of my primary tools in my sales strategy as it allows for the design, automated sending and analytic review of all of my email marketing efforts. The process of inputting my subscriber list was as easy as uploading an Excel document and I love how Mailchimp provides fantastic analytic tools to see how successful your marketing efforts are. Additionally, the software allows you to see which customers interact with your email the most (how many times they viewed the message, your click-through percentages, when they last looked/opened the email). Would recommend utilizing Mailchimp's services for any sales professionals that have a large rolodex of accounts that they target and communicate with on a daily/weekly basis!

Mailchimp is user friendly and super helpful in implementing email marketing strategies. Simple and inexpensive enough to where any Sales Employee can add Mailchimp's services into their sales strategy (and see great rewards from using it)! Allows users to manage their subscriber lists, send segmented emails, automate re-sends and follow up emails, and the option for targeted paper marketing such as flyers/postcards.

A basic understanding of how to set up a landing page, design marketing emails, and/or marketing copywriting is needed to take this software to its full potential.

Mailchimp is a must have email solution if you have a large contact list or are hoping to develop one. The time saving aspect of this software alone makes it worth the time spent learning it.

I'd have to say if there's anything not to like about Mailchimp is that it can take a little getting used to. However anything new will take some getting used to and this is one of the easier software programs I've learned.

I liked MailChimp quite a bit.
I have used them to send out occasional newsletters to family and friends updating everybody on the creative art, video, and indie game projects I have underway, and it works well for formatting (really nice) polished emails and sending them off to a few dozen connections in one scheduled batch. Interface is clean, features are thorough enough without being overwhelming. Again, MailChimp is a good email list system.

The Mailchimp system is user friendly, available for free (up to a certain scale, anyway) and it's super convenient.
Flinging your email, as MailChimp calls it, is simple to do and the email structure is super customizable.
Maybe one of the best features? All emails are sent as scheduled individually so even though it's all being sent out to an email list, it seems to the recipient as if it was written just to them, and that's nice, especially since it minimizes the odds that the message will end up accidentally lost in a spam folder.

I found the setup of different mailing lists and later recombining them into one big list containing sublists, a bit irksome, but that was mainly due to the fact that I organized things poorly at the start and made some bad decisions in setup.

In no way was that a deal breaker, it was my own moment of stupidity, but maybe MailChimp could have made the best and most efficient organizational scheme a bit more clear cut from the start.

Mailchimp is great and has a lot of systems that it integrates with (except Shopify). The automation and segmentation components are always improving and so is the email builder. Mailchimp is always one of my recommended technology stack products.

Honestly, I didn’t always love Mailchimp because I felt that segmenting and automation needed some work (it’s because of the Infusionsoft & Salesforce background in me). But, MailChimp has come a long ways and allows for those just getting started with corporate email tools to get in for free and allows techies like me to push the limits of email marketing and automation without breaking the bank.

Mailchimp has started to charge for multiple users. I just find this annoying and wish that continued to be a free part of the package.

Overall, Mailchimp is a good product for what we need it to do. Their pricing is fair for our list size and they have easy-to-read metrics. I just wish they would fix their payment portal and make their designer more robust.

We have been using Mailchimp for over 4 years now and are very impressed. It is very easy to add subscribers individually or through mass-import. Designing emails is very easy. We use an external design program and import those into MailChimp. Scheduling campaigns is easy and their metrics are easy to analyze. Overall, an excellent product!

Our payment gets kicked back every month because their portal to pay online does not have a place to type in your CVV code. This is very inconvenient, but not a dealbreaker. I wish their designer was more robust. If you use their designer to build email campaigns, you are very limited to the fonts/style that can be used. This is why we use an external program and import our designs.

While some other platforms offer more features, none are as easy to use as Mailchimp, particularly with out of the box templates.

Does everything you could reasonably hope for, and does it quickly and easily. Does a a great job introducing new users to the world of email marketing with minimal effort. Pricing is great!

The pros far outweigh the cons. Easily one of the best, if not the best mass mailing solutions out there.

The process is very simple, all you have to do is upload your email list and set up automation and you are all done. Everything is simple and the interface is very well designed. This tool has greatly kept our business audience contacted about news and offerings that can help our customers and partners.

There is not much customization that you can do on the platform and support can sometimes be very unresponsive if you make a mistake, but at the end everything works out fine and we are mostly happy.
