Very Misleading Company, I signed up for $1.99 full access for a week so I thought, until 7 days later I was charged $49.99US.

It does say that on the website that I missed, it also says on the website within 30 days you can Cancel anytime with, a money-back guarantee, when I tried to get a refund, there was a battle.

it says in its terms and conditions that there must be a technical error or problem to get your money back,

it wasn't until I told them I had over a million hits on my Google reviews that I suddenly got a refund.

please be careful with this site and do your research, they are not doing anything illegal but choosing their words very cleverly.

Searched for a free converter for one time use. This site came up and i paid £1 to use. They never emailed to say it is a subscription and that i had used a trial and they would now charge £50 monthly for a service i don't need. The one time use was useless. Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days and 1 document that was not usable. They will not refund and they state they sent email before charging and to check my spam. Nothing....no messages at all. They have offered me a discount on a lifetime plan! Shame on these people.

None. Falsely advertised and fraudulent company. Customer service is appalling and unhelpful. Application was useless and eventually the one document i needed ever was not usable.

Everything! This is a con service. Do not use. If you are going to spend this overpriced amount, buy an adobe licence it's cheaper! I used this service once for one document and that's all i needed it for.

Buy a $0.99 subsription for 7 days and then you are charged $49 !!

The company misrepresented their offer as a free trial, but I was unexpectedly charged $313. I tried to dispute the transaction with my bank, but unfortunately, I was not successful. I believe that this is a serious scam and legal action should be taken against this deceitful company.

My overall experience was very very bad. I lost money to these scammers. I will never use their services again. And my advice to anyone is that you should never try them.

PDF Guru is a very big scam! They sell you a subscription of $49.99, but use a $0.99 subscription. When you fall for this scam your money is gone and they will never refund you, instead they will refer you to emails that were never sent to you.

I needed to convert a document. I usually use free tools but they came recommended. Bad recommendation. I selected 1 time use for $1, which $1.36 CAD was charged to my Mastercard. Out of no where, no communication at all, my card was charged $67.45 CAD. When I went to their website they had my account signed up for a subscription. I haven't used them since that one time and don't intend to use them again so why would I need a subscription? It is unauthorized. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company as from other reviews on here, I probably won't get my money back from them willingly.

They are not transparent about their services and come across fraudulent.

I wanted to convert 1 pdf document and used this service. It was online and asked only that i upload the document, then asked for my email address in order to download the conversion. Turns out you'll be asked to pay 95 cents (once only payment for limited use).
Worked fine - converted to .jpeg and downloaded.
Just after 2 weeks later i was billed for €49.95 "Subscription fee".
I had also used PDF Guru to do the same, also the same online format and also costing 95 cents for limited use. This time i was billed for €39.95 again for subscription.
On their site it's explained that you can log into your account and from there cancel any automatic payments...
I can't do this as i don't have an account to log into.

On line there was no single warning that you were about to sign up for any membership or subscription service.
Therefore i can only assume that this is purely an illegal Scam.
I am now in contact with visa to register a dispute claim against this company.
Mail complaints to the service desk are automatically answered and don't appear to offer any resolution.

Their feedback, as you can see by all the complaints here on Trustpilot, is an automatically generated text. From what i can see everyone receives the same answer. I recommend that you contact your bank, credit card or PayPal and make a complaint by them and ask for a dispute procedure regarding any further attempts at monthly billing. I suggest that you also make a complaint to google as this is clearly a Scam site.

They sell the product by offering it as free to use but with limited functionality. Then you find out you'll need to pay 95 cents (that's how they get your credit card number or PayPal account enabling them to set up recurring monthly billing). you'll be asked to give your email address to download your document and hidden is your agreement for subscription and to make an account.
Then you're trapped. Complain immediately to your bank, start a dispute procedure immediately.

That they will steal as much money from you as they can, you will be unable to cancel or stop them without the help of your bank, credit card company or PayPal. These are professional criminals.

Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $0.99 on 04/09. I got a email telling your subscription is cancelled on 11/09 but still got charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days. Shame on these people. Still they don't have the answer to the question why I received a email saying my subscription was cancelled and then charge me?? They don't have answers for me anymore.

I used this to make a 99p pdf which was a rip off at that for the software.

I just logged into my banking app to see I'm being charged £49.99 a month to use this. At no point did I sign up for a monthly subscription as who in their right mind would pay that for this.

That's 600 a year.

Scam PDF guru is a scam, they lured me in with $2.5 and wants to charge me $72. Moreover they have locked me out of the app so that I can’t log in to.

I signed up for a 7 day window to try the product. I was unaware that if, after trying the product, you would be signed up to a subscription and your credit card would be duly charged. I contacted the company and was told politely that they would not reverse the charge on my credit card because their "terms and conditions" state that you must advise them you wish to cancel. This is a old scam and a lesson learned by an old senior. They did say that they have cancelled my subscription but not reimbursed the $70.00 subscription fee. Now not trusting this company at all I am in the process of cancelling my credit card and getting a new number.

I have nothing positive to say about this company other than they did reply by email to my request for a refund.

This company is set up to con you. If you sign up to try it and fail to advise them within a 10 day period they will debit your credit card for a full subscription which I never authorized. It is a total scam....watch out.

Totally bad service. They should be clear with their terms and even send reminders of renewal before they renew subscriptions.

I did not like anything about the app or their service. They ripped me off when I signed up for a week. They renewed the subscription at a higher cost than I had chosen initially. Why deduct more than $50 for a week's subscription of $0.99. You deal with them at your own risk.

I liked that I could use their app to edit my pdf document. There aren't many apps like that. They should be truthful to consumers. Ripping people off of their hard earned money is not a good practice.

According to them they are transparency and clear, but they are not. They deceive you to pay for the 0.99 usd trial out for 7 day so they can after that can charge for a 50 usd monthly fee subscription, most of the emails go to spam so you won't notice until is too late to file a claim. Also they won't make you a refund through the website, knowing that most of the payments and enrollments are through website. Horrible experience I strongly recommend to avoid this website and app

I needed to fill out a lengthy PDF form. I stumbled upon this webpage and it took me straight through to editing my document on their site. Initially it worked well, so I proceeded with a the 30-minute task. Upon finishing, I am slapped with a payment request to access everything that I had been doing for the last hour. I felt extorted. I would have gladly paid up front had I know, but after investing the time, I just wanted to get on with my day. Despite feeling misled on principle, I paid the US$0.99 for my file. Still reeling from the gross experience of a pushy deceptive business transaction, I thought I would log in to see if they had ADDITIONALLY snagged me into a subscription that I would never ever ever consent to. And indeed, there it was, next charge due in 7 days at an obscenely high price. Immediately cancelled. For unsuspecting users which you will see all over the internet reviewing this business, some people don't realise until much later that not only are they initially extorted, but if they give into the extortion to receive their one-time file, they then get charged AGAIN. PDF Guru, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Stay away from these con artists. Did a trial, then 2 months later they took 50 euro out of my account despite me never using the service as it couldn't do what I needed. I used a different pdf editor service which worked brilliantly. Refused to refund me despite explaining the situation.

Avoid because their main focus isn’t on the service and customers that want to use but rather on how to scan people with their free trial nonsense that doesn’t work anyway

Just when automatic subscription takes $50 for one month for the service you have never ended up using as the produced document a year ago was not good enough and you beg the customer care to refund your hard earned money as you’re single mother and pregnant and they just say no because of a refund policy.
