Overall I am not satisfied, I made a complaint through my bank to try to get my money back, although I am not sure how it would go.

I must admit the software is not bad, quite intuitive, but unfortunately all the pros are being devaluated by the fact it was a scam.

I purchased 0.99 EUR subscription and clicked right away, that I am not willing to keep it active, then I was charged 49.99EUR twice until I realized I am losing money.

Awful, they promised to stop taking payments but continued after I cancelled my subscription. They won't refund my money. When you call customer service you have to go through 5 sets of questions before you get a person. They lied to me throughout the whole issue.

The software did convert my PDF to a JPEG as requested. That is the only positive thing I can say about the experience.

I paid $1.99 to convert a single word file to a JPEG. Then I started getting monthly charges of $49.99 and was told they would cancel the subscription and refund one of three monthly charges. I checked my bank account today and they had taken $49.99 again! I am working with my bank to block any further charges and also to get my $150.00 back. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!

Bunch of thieves... nothing clear about their charges... bunch of liars... they claim a good service... reality is way far from that... they suck people's money and that's their goal... when I tried to download the merged PDF file, it failed maybe 10 times before succeeding finally... what a scammy website!

Immoral scum. Offers a simple service for a dollar but secretly sets you up for a monthly $50 fee. Just opt for one of the many other services that can do the exact same thing minus the nefarious tactics.

The service makes it easy to manipulate pdf documents, which I needed to do for an important application. The service was simple to use and intuitive.

Like most gurus, this guru values money more than integrity. Making a competitive product is hard, so they resort to using deception to get people on their subscription service. Shame on them.

Because they stole my money, I don't like them at all. If someone is the robber it is hard to find the pros.

They charge 0,99eur for the service and after they get your CC data, they will charge 49,00Eur.

Awful. The worst thing is the time you waste complaining to them. They do eventually admit that they should have taken your money, but the you have to go through the same time consuming process next month. It's a nightmare.

The software works OK and does reduce the size of a typical pdf more than Adobe Acrobat Compression.

It is a total scam - they just take money from you account for no reason. You agree to pay £1.99 for a single pdf compression and the next thing you know you have £49.99 taken from your account every month. So you complain and they admit they are in the wrong, but the next month it starts all over again. Stay well clear!

Worst application on the internet they will steal your money legally, people like this should not be allowed on the internet.

No pros for this application they stole $79 from me with there 1 euros trial…. it's a shame to do this to students.

Being a student and getting scammed for $70 is pretty rough.

Please do not purchase and never share your bank account with PDF Guru.

Very Misleading Company, I signed up for $1.99 full access for a week so I thought, until 7 days later I was charged $49.99US.

It does say that on the website that I missed, it also says on the website within 30 days you can Cancel anytime with, a money-back guarantee, when I tried to get a refund, there was a battle.

it says in its terms and conditions that there must be a technical error or problem to get your money back,

it wasn't until I told them I had over a million hits on my Google reviews that I suddenly got a refund.

please be careful with this site and do your research, they are not doing anything illegal but choosing their words very cleverly.

Searched for a free converter for one time use. This site came up and i paid £1 to use. They never emailed to say it is a subscription and that i had used a trial and they would now charge £50 monthly for a service i don't need. The one time use was useless. Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days and 1 document that was not usable. They will not refund and they state they sent email before charging and to check my spam. Nothing....no messages at all. They have offered me a discount on a lifetime plan! Shame on these people.

None. Falsely advertised and fraudulent company. Customer service is appalling and unhelpful. Application was useless and eventually the one document i needed ever was not usable.

Buy a $0.99 subsription for 7 days and then you are charged $49 !!

The company misrepresented their offer as a free trial, but I was unexpectedly charged $313. I tried to dispute the transaction with my bank, but unfortunately, I was not successful. I believe that this is a serious scam and legal action should be taken against this deceitful company.

My overall experience was very very bad. I lost money to these scammers. I will never use their services again. And my advice to anyone is that you should never try them.

PDF Guru is a very big scam! They sell you a subscription of $49.99, but use a $0.99 subscription. When you fall for this scam your money is gone and they will never refund you, instead they will refer you to emails that were never sent to you.

I needed to convert a document. I usually use free tools but they came recommended. Bad recommendation. I selected 1 time use for $1, which $1.36 CAD was charged to my Mastercard. Out of no where, no communication at all, my card was charged $67.45 CAD. When I went to their website they had my account signed up for a subscription. I haven't used them since that one time and don't intend to use them again so why would I need a subscription? It is unauthorized. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company as from other reviews on here, I probably won't get my money back from them willingly.

They are not transparent about their services and come across fraudulent.

I wanted to convert 1 pdf document and used this service. It was online and asked only that i upload the document, then asked for my email address in order to download the conversion. Turns out you'll be asked to pay 95 cents (once only payment for limited use).
Worked fine - converted to .jpeg and downloaded.
Just after 2 weeks later i was billed for €49.95 "Subscription fee".
I had also used PDF Guru to do the same, also the same online format and also costing 95 cents for limited use. This time i was billed for €39.95 again for subscription.
On their site it's explained that you can log into your account and from there cancel any automatic payments...
I can't do this as i don't have an account to log into.

On line there was no single warning that you were about to sign up for any membership or subscription service.
Therefore i can only assume that this is purely an illegal Scam.
I am now in contact with visa to register a dispute claim against this company.
Mail complaints to the service desk are automatically answered and don't appear to offer any resolution.

Their feedback, as you can see by all the complaints here on Trustpilot, is an automatically generated text. From what i can see everyone receives the same answer. I recommend that you contact your bank, credit card or PayPal and make a complaint by them and ask for a dispute procedure regarding any further attempts at monthly billing. I suggest that you also make a complaint to google as this is clearly a Scam site.

They sell the product by offering it as free to use but with limited functionality. Then you find out you'll need to pay 95 cents (that's how they get your credit card number or PayPal account enabling them to set up recurring monthly billing). you'll be asked to give your email address to download your document and hidden is your agreement for subscription and to make an account.
Then you're trapped. Complain immediately to your bank, start a dispute procedure immediately.

That they will steal as much money from you as they can, you will be unable to cancel or stop them without the help of your bank, credit card company or PayPal. These are professional criminals.

Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $0.99 on 04/09. I got a email telling your subscription is cancelled on 11/09 but still got charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days. Shame on these people. Still they don't have the answer to the question why I received a email saying my subscription was cancelled and then charge me?? They don't have answers for me anymore.

I used this to make a 99p pdf which was a rip off at that for the software.

I just logged into my banking app to see I'm being charged £49.99 a month to use this. At no point did I sign up for a monthly subscription as who in their right mind would pay that for this.

That's 600 a year.

At no point did I create an account with password so you can't even log in to cancel.

I'm contacting my bank to get the money back.
