PLEASE BE CAREFUL I don't want hard working people like myself to be scammed in this manner. Ok its $50 and much worse scams take place on the internet but I think we must stand up to this kind of thing. ALL reputable sites give you the option to cancel and don't just take a FULL subscription.

Used it for merge function and can't really bring myself to write anything positive as it's deliberately misleading people.

This company has just taken a monthly $50 subscription when I paid for $.99 for a single day.

I saw the option on 'pdfguru' was not free but I could 'use today for $0.99. I paid for this with my card thinking this was the last I would hear. Even if I'd accidentally signed up ALL reputable companies give you the option to cancel a subscription as it's obvious this type of thing happens.

Over a month later - so I don't where they can suggest it was a 7 day trial - I was debited $50 monthly subscription! Cheaper to get the full adobe suite!!!

Never use PDF Guru. They will scam you and take your money. 50€/month.

Tried it out for a $.99 "one-time" use and found that that enrolled me in a 1 week trial that resulted in getting billed $49.99 for a monthly fee. When I contacted them to get refunded, they said they would offer me a 1 year use of the tool.

Why would they immediately offer a one year subscription on a monthly fee? Scam.

Try at your own peril.

Could edit a pdf and make the necessary changes required to complete the project that I selected them for.

Billing shenanigans. Very poor customer service in trying to resolve billing.

Dodgy company. Support don't help or speak once they tell you you've been scammed and done your cash. Don't do it. Hopeless.

They don't tell you theres a charge. Comes up in a free google search. Then you upload document and go to download they ask you to pay one of 3 options. I took cheapest and limited access.
8 days later they are stealing 76 dollars from my account after I thought I had 1 dollar to get the one download I needed. Support cancel when I call and email but no refund. 77 dollars for one document.

Scammers. I paid to have one doc converted to a PDF - a few days later, £50 was taken out of my account as if I'd signed up for a subscription. I had not - why would I - I just paid for the one doc. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. RUN BY TERRIBLE PEOPLE

Very negative- the customer support team has alleged that the monies were refunded to me. They have not been and my bank cannot trace any refunded transaction from PDF Guru.

No further comments- my experience was tainted by the monies deducted from my account despite the cancellation.

Charged for an annual subscription despite cancelling my trial period. The customer support team was completely unhelpful and no monies were refunded to me.

Fortunately, my bank blocked the charges & I was contacted by the fraud department. Appropriate name. Frauds. Do not use this site!

Helpful Hint: Some PDFs (like state & federal tax forms) are fillable once you download the blank version to your desktop.

I don't feel there are no pros to this site. It is a scam. Find another option for editing your PDFs.

You are led to believe this is a limited free service until you have finished your document. In order to save and download the PDF you must pay 99cents. it is NOT CLEAR this is a trial (if it's stated at all - I don't remember). Then, a week later they will charge you $49.99. PDF Guru attempted TWO consecutive charges totalling just under $100.00. I didn't receive any emails saying it was a trial, there would be additional charges, not at the time of purchase or at the 7 day time of the attempted charges. There is no clear info stated on their website, no info in their welcome email. There is only a 'no refunds' statement in their money back policies.

This is clearly a scam to take large amounts of money from users and store their payment details without consent.

The software works as you would expect it to work, if it were the one off price shown of 0.99 I would have been satisfied.

You sign up to pay a ONE-OFF fee of 0.99 and without being informed they store your payment details and charge an additional 49.00 without telling you. This cannot be legal.

Unbelievably bad service are just a total scam. Charge you £49.99 for nothing. And you never get back your money.

I have never encountered a website company that offers a trial session, which would automatically turn into a paid subscription for the service. However, PDF Guru is a scamming website company. They advertised a $0.99 one-off PDF conversion service, but when I paid for it, they obtained my credit card details. After 7 days, they did not email or notify me, but they charged USD49.99 on my credit card as a subscription fee without my consent.

I wrote an email to the company to request a refund because I did not receive a confirmation email from them before making the payment. However, they claimed that they had already sent me an email, and that it may have ended up in my SPAM folder. How can a website company process a payment without confirmation from the user? This website is clearly a scam to take people’s money for a service that they never used. Additionally, there is no customer service or a phone number to contact a live representative except a robot that sends automatic replies. Please respond to my email and issue me my refund of $49.99 as I am not entirely sure what I’m paying the money for? I have not used any of your services. If I don’t hear from you, I will be reporting your business to a consumer protection agency.

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY - STAY AWAY! The business informed me I took out a subscription - UNTRUE. I took my money, IGNORED me for two weeks, then said it will be returned within 2 days, then it became 14, then it became they are investigating. IT IS A FRAUDULENT SCAMMING BUSINESS. This fraudulent business STEALS. Please please please do not fall for their lies. It is disgusting. I never signed up and then $50 was deducted from my account. It is so awful to think someone can steal because they are too lazy to work. Please do not use them!

Avoid this company at all costs! I will be reporting them to consumer protection agencies and my bank to dispute this fraudulent charge. This has been an incredibly frustrating and time-consuming ordeal.

Had a terrible experience with PDF Guru. They charged my account $499.99 without my consent, and I never even subscribed to their service. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a deliberate scam.

When I reached out to their support team, I received no meaningful response or resolution. After doing some research, I found countless complaints online from others who experienced similar unauthorized charges. This pattern shows a serious issue with their business practices.

The tool is decent but they will scam you into paying a hefty monthly subscription without confirming with you first.

They will trick you and automatically debit 49.99 from your card without getting your consent. They will say 1.99 for a 7 day access and once you pay, they will charge you for a subscription that you never wanted.

Terrible just scamming people and committing fraud in broad daylight.They will make up every excuse in the book not to refund you then offer lifetime membership as if that will make up up for the theft.

Nothing to like. A completely fraudulent and dishonest company claiming you can use their service for free but will charge 49Euros multiple times.

Some time ago, having to convert 1 single file into PDF, I paid about 1 Euro (and I never used it again) and perhaps I didn't read some contracts as they were in English and I was in a hurry.
I only noticed today that you charged me 49.99 euros per month on PayPal as it is a "monthly subscription", which I cancel immediately with an email.

Read carefully!!!! the because one single use is a subscription with 49,99 euro for month until you canceled it.

Beware of the PDF Guru and their trial period. Should you choose the $0.99 USD option it is important to understand that you will be signed up for a subscription at a cost of $49.99 USD per month. When I saw that this money had been withdrawn from my account I contacted PDF Guru and they stated that they had sent me a letter to confirm my subscription. This letter from PDF Guru was never received by me.

The PDF Guru website is slick and deceptive. It's ease of use distracts the user from looking more closely at the fine print which displays further down the page in small grey print.

PDF Guru are deceptive in the online practices. PDF Guru make no mention of money until your document has been converted. PDF Guru sign you up for a subscription, access your credit card or PayPal account and begin charging you $49.99 USD / $80 AUD.

Definitely a scam! Tricks you with thinking you are being charged a ONE time fee of just 99 cents then charges 49.99 for a subscription. Do not use pdf guru if you do not want to be out of money you didn't plan on spending for a horrible experience. Downloaded this service on 7/11 and emailed pdf guru on 7/18 to cancel once I noticed I was realized this was not a one time 99 cent fee. They charged me 49.99 and refused to issue a refund. I was trying to convert a document regarding funeral services I attended and was out of town during the so called trial period. I contacted them immediately when I discovered this was a subscription and not a one time purchase.

The 99 cent charge was appealing until I discovered that was misleading. I should have known something was not right when my bank suspended my card and I had to confirm I made this purchase. They flagged the activity as fraud and it definitely was.

Besides the rip of for 49.99 the actual service is a waste of time. I could not successfully convert my document and had to use another app.
