Be cautious with this service — I made a one-time payment of €0.99 for a single document conversion, and a week later they charged me €49 for a subscription I never agreed to. When I contacted their automated customer support, I was told they do not issue refunds. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a total scam.

If I have anywhere to report this scam company I would, I was not the only one scammed by this company.

Couldn’t save the file after spending 2 hours editing the PDF. Wasted money and time, nothing good at all!

Paid for the trial and they automatically subscribe their monthly membership which was $49 per month without notification, all you get was a junk email saying that they will start taking your money after the trial period. They refused to give refund as their website has all the policy to back them up. They meant to scam your money that way, if you don’t check carefully you end up paying $49 per month for this crap service.

Awful experience. I was promised 2 years of free access, still got charged, and their support is unreachable. Email bounced back. Filed a formal complaint to the EU Consumer Centre. Avoid.

Absolutely nothing worth recommending. The only “free” part was their excuse. Misleading promises, no accountability, and a support mailbox that’s full. A great example of what not to trust online.

I’m an EU-based customer and I was promised 2 years of full access free of charge by PDF Guru, confirmed in writing by their customer support team. Despite this, my account was charged again on May 20, 2025 — with no authorization or explanation.

When I tried to contact them via email, their support inbox was full and bounced my message back. That’s not just unprofessional — it’s unacceptable.

This is a serious breach of consumer trust and EU withdrawal rights. I’ve already filed a formal complaint to the European Consumer Centre.

Be cautious if you plan to use this platform. Their practices are misleading and their support is nonexistent.

There is no Pros only scamming peoples starting from 99 cents turn into $49.99/month.

I signed up for what I thought was a 99¢ subscription and never even used the product. Without my knowledge, I was being charged $49.99 per month for 18 months.

When I finally noticed and called to cancel, they immediately offered me a 6-month refund—which tells me they know exactly what they’re doing. Even more insulting, during that same call they offered me a 2-year subscription for just 99¢ (smile), showing the whole “premium” price is a complete gimmick.

To make matters worse, I discovered that the same exact product—with the same features—is available from another company for $49.99 per year, not per month.

This company’s business model feels deceptive and predatory. Please be aware and check your statements carefully.

They operate hiding information about the fact we will be charged. Also impossible to find the option to cancel your subscription on the website.

Absolutely do not trust them. They refuse to refund me after I only purchased the $0.99 option. They trick you into charging you $49.99 and say you should read the fine print. I hate scammers. I would like my refund!!!

I was only editing a PDF file, but they sold me a monthly subscription of US $45.99 without my authorization or consent, and charged me the first month's fee through PayPal, though I paid for editing the PDF US $0.99 as well. I am very disappointed, and I am still fighting for a refund.
There are flaws in the process. They pretend that it is free of charge to create or edit PDF files, but they charge, and their charges are in US dollars. This means you get another surprise when you are charged.

It is sheeting an a fraud avoid using it.

It asks you to pay money for every action. Then after a week they withdraw non-refundable 45 USD without prior notice. There is a little note about that you hardly see. After paying the 45 USD, if you decide to use the application, it asks you again to pay for every action. It is a fraud 100% avoid using it.

Now I found that they charged my bank account, $49.99. Until now, they have never acknowledged my email. I sent it to :support@pdfguru.com ; info@pdfguru.com; help@pdfguru.com; and social@pdfguru.com but none of these ever replied. I don't think any of these emails are working. I will give them 24 hours to reply to me otherwise, I will report PDF Guru to INTERPOL's Cybercrime Unit since this is a crossborder scam / fraud operation and to Cyprus Police's Office for Combating Cybercrime (OCC) since they are registered in Cyprus.

I am upset that I got charge $49.99 for a monthly fee. I tried it out for a $.99 "one-time" use and immediately cancelled via email, within 48 hours....no acknowledgement. I sent another follow up email after another 2 days....still no acknowledgement.

They say free but then con you out of 50€ with some very small print at the bottom of the page, no refund!!!

I give it solid 5 stars. I wish the service will be free but I understand why it costs money. Nothing is free in this world.

It really helps with pdf files. Fast, not really difficult, converts good. The website isn't glitchy, loading smoothly.

No cons have been found actually, I'd really happy if the service would be free, LOL.

Hard to use and also added you sneakily to an automatic monthly membership despite only what a single use. No information in sign up email but down the bottom of a receipt.

Nothing, absolutely nothing. This is a total scam. If you used their service once (I had to edit a single PDF for 1€), they will charge you 50€ monthly using your PayPal or your credit card details, as if you were "subscribed", which I was not.

I like they do it quickly, with no hidden manipulations or additional charges. seems legit, cause my bank doesn't allow some shaky services to charge me.

I cancelled on the app the repeat payment but did not know that unless i physically go into paypal it won't be accepted, so they took 49.99 GBP from me and refused to refund. I hope they won't con others into these stupid scams

PDF Guru offered a 7 day trial which i took with the caveat that i would cancel if I would not use it any more. WITHOUT any notice they just rolled me into a year sub and took money through paypal without any notification.

I like how it looks & works. easy, contains all the features I need, also good plan if you buy it for the whole team.

Subscription is not the cheapest, but at least I don’t feel tricked. Everything I tried worked without hidden paywalls

PDF Guru are Guru’s of taking monthly subscriptions from your account when you make a one off purchase. They are an unscrupulous company. There are many other services. DON’T USE this one.
