Cancelled within the 7 days and my credit card was still charged the monthly fee of 49.00..... When I emailed them, they offered me a lifetime membership and refused to credit my credit card.... They are now ghosting me. Used the service once...
How do they go from a monthly fee of 49.00 to lifetime membership. Joke.

None - PDF Guru website is a scam to obtain your credit card information. Did the website change my PDF document to word? Yes. That would be the only positive as I have to provide a PRO!

Cautious -they charge $49.99 a MONTH after 7 days... Even if you cancel, they charge your card and claim you did not. Bigger joke is they charge $49.99 a month and when you try to cancel, they offer you a lifetime membership for free.

Worst experience I’ve ever had, never had a problem before with any other company, they are just a scam!

Warning!!, company is a total scam, customer service rubbish, don’t solve any problems. Seriously avoid!!!!

-Agreed to pay £0.99 which received a bill for, now I’ve been charged £0.99 plus £49.99. Customer service are rubbish, they said it’s not refundable when others companies do refund your money. Avoid!!!

As far as I see, your subscription has been automatically renewed after the expiration of the Trial Period that was purchased on June 10th. Unless you cancel your subscription, you authorize us to charge you for the renewal term. PDF.guru promptly rejected my email request to cancel & refund the $49.99/monthly fee I did not agree to.

Tried the service for 99 cents & then received a debit to my acct. for $49.99/monthly. Requested a refund but pdf.guru refused. (pdf.guru response below.

Never ever provide card details to this company as you will automatically become a member even if you use it as a one off.
Not only is the service ridiculously priced at USD 50 per month however they will also not notify you when your card is being charged.
When I picked up the charge within a day they also refused to refund my money.
I highly recommend never using this company.

Absolutely do not recommend this website, product is extremely low quality, you have to pay for the free trial and they won't refund you even though the product is useless. If no stars was an option they'd get that rating.

If you like low res, blurry PDF documents that you can't use then this company is for you, but if you want documents that you can actually use DO NOT use PDF Guru.

I’m extremely disappointed with PDF Guru’s customer service. Despite requesting a refund for an unauthorized charge, they refused, hiding behind rigid refund policies. I only intended to use the service once and contacted them promptly, but they showed no flexibility or genuine effort to resolve my concerns.

This lack of consideration for customers is unacceptable. I won’t use PDF Guru again and caution others against subscribing unless you’re okay with unexpected charges and unhelpful support. Customer satisfaction clearly isn’t their priority.

This product is a con - it is hard to unsubscribe and now I have unsubscribed I have no faith the next payment won't come out.

I canceled my subscription within 02 days of my subscription but they deducted my money saying that subscription was not canceled although I am sure that I canceled it. I made complained and they promised for refund but it never happened. Since April I am struggling to get my refund. They keep saying to check with my bank and bank saying as the amount is deducted so I need to contact the PDF Guru. They are scam, fraud never pay them subscription fees, there are many other reliable pdf editor site.

Scam/fraud they will deduct the subscription even you cancel the subscription on time.

None. I did not want this software, it popped up when trying to save a form downloaded from the net, requested me to log in via facebook and then automatically took payment. I didn't want or need this software and they are just coming up with BS reasons to not refund me. Stay away from this company.

It's just a clever scam. It purports to be FREE and is anything but. After you have paid for your 7 day Trial YOU MUST CANCEL IT BY DAY SIX otherwise they'll charge you 49.99 EVERY MONTH.

None. When you do a search for a 'FREE' pdf editor/converter, pdf guru will probably show at the top of the page. It invites you to upload your document for conversion for FREE.

It's not FREE. when you attempt to download your converted document it requires payment...for a 7 day 'Trial' But read the 'small print'.

Disappointed. I was really surprised when I saw the deduction. I cancelled the subscription before the end of it and I received the cancellation confirmation yet, customer care told me that the cancellation was not processed.

I wish I had read these reviews before subscription. Same story, I was charged before the end of my seven days subscription that I already paid for as well. I contacted customer care, the responses were too fast so I new that this is a common problem.

My account was recharged before time. The ready formatted response from customer care.

They came up in Google for a free PDF 2 Ebook conversion. I followed all instructions, including giving them my email (which is reasonable). Then, to download my ebook, I would have to buy a 7-Day Trial for $.99 at the bare minimum. The choices only went up from there and quickly. They're using the classic bait & switch tactic for a mere $.99, therefore an incredibly untrustworthy company.

The $.99 turns into a $50 subscription that somehow cannot be canceled until after the charges go through. It seems a little... odd that the subscription isn't canceled until they take your money.

Appalling customer service. The design of the payment section of the website leads a customer to choose between a paid trial and a paid subscription. One has to then read the 'small print ‘ beyond this to discover the trial period needs to be cancelled or a subscription fee will be billed. The company claims a reminder email will be sent but I did not receive this. I explained the mistake to customer service and requested a refund. They refused.

I only wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I too opted for the 0.99 trial and was shocked to find $49.99 deducted from my PayPal card a week later. I contacted the company and explained my situation but they refused a refund. When I kept pushing, they simply stopped answering my emails. Make sure you won't get trapped! PDF Guru's website is misleading and the quality of the tool isn't worth a penny.

They make you believe you are using a free tool, until you want to download your PDF. So, at first, I didn't have a completely bad experience.

The quality of the PDF was very poor, even not worth that 99 cents. I went back to Google and found a completely free alternative that offered a more intuitive experience, with a much better result. Therefore, I forgot I spent 0,99 for PDF Guru until they charged me $49,99.

I contacted the helpdesk. They told me: "Be kindly informed that after the purchase of the Trial Period, we send the billing letter with the information about the further charges." That is not true: I didn't receive anything in my mailbox or spam box. Still, I didn't have a choice but to pay the subscription.

It allows you to organize, compress and add signature on the documents hence it makes work easier to the team.

It enhances the security of PDF documents because it enable you to add a password on the pdf thus work can't be copied by another person.

It has very many feature for PDF documents therefore no dislikes.

I only discovered the fraud on October 31, 2024, as I hadn’t been regularly reviewing my bank statements.

Unfortunately, PDF Guru appears to be engaging in fraudulent practices, as reported by numerous individuals on various review websites. I, too, have fallen victim to their unauthorized billing.
On 1 August 2024 I completed a one-time payment online for $1.52 to PDF Guru to convert a file from pdf to Word.
On the following dates, they charged me recurring fees for a “subscription” I never authorized, as follows:

07 Aug 2024: $76.77
06 September 2024: $73.99
06 October 2024: $72.54
31 October 2024: $76.51

Since then, I have reported PDF Guru to the Australian Federal Police, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and the Cyber Crime Authority in Australia, with the hope of recovering the funds that were unlawfully debited from my credit card account.

Here’s what really happened: I understand that the subscription was automatically renewed after the trial period, but my intention was to make a one-time purchase, not to subscribe to a recurring plan. At no point did your website clearly indicate that I was enrolling in a trial that would result in future charges. The product was advertised specifically for single-use editing, not for a subscription service. I expect a full refund for this misleading transaction.

This site is engaging in deceptive practices, taking £49.99 from my account after an unannounced automatic renewal following a so-called 7-day trial. It’s outrageous to mislead customers like this‼️‼️‼️ I demand an immediate refund from your team!
