I am still in Germany and needed a phone number in the USA and in a specific state. Since I wasn't sure about a few things, I contacted customer service. I received a direct response, a very nice phone call and quick and uncomplicated help.

I have recently opened an account with Sonetel for my freelance activities. I can confirm they really care about customers and their statement in this regards is true: “Customers are at the heart of everything we do at Sonetel.”. I would also add a notice that Sonetel also take accounts security very seriously. Beside the regular KYC verification they make sure customers are not gonna use phone numbers for any reasons not listed in the TOS. After you have passed verification, you will be sure you have a reliable platform to manage your phone services. I wish Sonetel a big success.

Not all virtual cards are accepted - if card does not support subscriptions you will not be able to add it to the account.

The Sonetel 2.0 app is easy to use. I had an issue with the purchase of an international phone number and the customer Support was fast and efficient. I'm very satisfied so far.

I wish I could answer to the incoming call directly from the iOS app. At the moment I can answer only through the web app but you can also transfer all the incoming call to a Sonetel user (myself) on my personal cell phone. It is easy and with a premium you have lot of minutes available!

I am a United States citizen living as an expat in Mexico. I need a service that can forward my clients' calls directly to me here in Mexico for a reasonable fee.

Any glitches were minor, and Customer Service has always responded promptly.

I could not be happier with Sonetel.

One minor glitch was due to the Sonetel billing software. I am on auto-pay, and there was a single event, just single, where I kept receiving emails that I had to top off my account with funds. Customer Service responded, and we worked through this glitch.
I consider this glitch minor and am very realistic in my expectations regarding any service. Problematic events happen with anyone and any service. No system runs perfectly. Such is life. I pay attention to Customer Service response and how effectively solutions are managed. Sonetel receives favorable flying colors in their response time and the remedy provided.

What appeared to be an easy & straightforward implementation.
Web based record system seems well constructed.

Lack of definition & still not convinced is solution intended for US users as global call forwarding is not supported. i.e. US caller could not use number as was intended to reach NZ recipient.

I was bit discouraged initially as found website difficult to navigate. However the service center staff is awesome and they quickly resolved the issues.

It’s great app that does it’s job perfectly. As an entrepreneur the services are really tailored for my needs but UX and KYC process can be improved.

Great solution! It helps my online business a lot, especially when the setup is so simple and user friendly.

Getting a local number is great when you work from all over the world.
The voicemail setup is simple, I added my own voice message and get an email notification when someone leaves a message.

I wish it could send text messages with this service, although I've read it's been worked on so hopefully soon.

Everything is good, except maybe that the SMS are not always supported, as it depends on the country, provider etc.

We just use it to have a phone number in Europe and have the calls forwarded to us outside the EU and it works great.

Once you are signed up and registered, the post sale service is excellent.
Overall service and concept is excellent. i especially like the fact that SMS messages can be sent you via e-mail, so at least you get them.

Service post sale is very good, once you are registered. The requirements with sending copied of documents is a little cumbersome, but once done, the service is excellent.

Web site is a little slow and difficult, and not too clear, and this makes it difficult to comply with all requirements for registration. In addition there is no availability to contact anyone by telephone in oder to determine how to finish registration, only be e-mail. Suggest a tel number one could call to get assistance

I will recommend this website to everyone I know, and actually already did, I am very please with what it allows me to do.

Cheap way to get a phone number when you live abroad and still need a phone number back in your home country, working well with forwarding options. Great support too!

No cons for me as this allows me to keep my PayPal account for example whilst living abroad.
