    Overall, Atera is a great platform that Infrastructure management team needs.
    I especially liked the knowledge base which is well drafted, and I use it a lot.
    and the reports and analysis on dashboard along with the option to download reports is what I use day to day.

    So, I have been using Atera for pushing updates/patches to VM's & for RMM features on Hyderabad location.
    Atera is actually the platform which has been implemented prior me joining the organization.
    its features which are PAM like are also helpful for remote access of employee machines and servers as well as providing remote support to users.
    The asset management is also a well-used tool by us.

    Negative

    I've observed that many times when the page refresh does not happen automatically, I manually refresh page and error comes up.
    Also, sometimes, while logging in, I have to log in more than once to get actually logged in.
    so apart from some above minor discrepancies Atera is all good.

    Atera: The single platform of IT Management Solution for Client Support"

    Overall, I think Atera does the job its marketing team has advertised it for.

    In Microsoft, we have implemented for Bangalore location only and it does its job of Remote access management, Inventory management, Monitoring and reporting etc.

    Overall its a stable platform, but sometimes the Real Time analytics dashboard shows inaccurate status.

    We needed a tool that could provide PAM like remote access, push scripts, update the OS and drivers, monitoring and reporting, manage inventory, and support helpdesk capabilities. Atera does all of this efficiently. we explored other remote monitoring and management tools, but they were either too complicated or didn't align with our organizational needs.

    It took a while for us to set it up for a big organization like ours.
    maybe because of our huge inventory size we have observed some issues with reporting, where some discrepancies have been observed.

    Great, Especially for a 1-person IT Department

    Atera has greatly improved the quality-of-life for IT, as well as dramatically increasing the response time for remote sites.

    Positive

    Atera is a life-saver for a one-man IT department. They make it easy to onboard, and the free trial is nice.

    To get set-up they provide installation files or command line instructions for each OS. There is even an option to have a specific installer and command line instruction for each site. So, you run the command and that computer is instantly associated with that site. I do recommend that you give the computer a descriptive, but short, PC name, so that it is easy to locate the right device in the Atera system after onboarding.

    The app is great, and even allows me to remote in to devices from my phone or tablet.

    When I have been stumped on how to perform an action or set something up in Atera, they have a chat support feature that is easy to use, and is quick to get a live agent to assist.

    I use Atera every day, and it saves me time, and dramatically reduces the need to go out on-site. I set it up on about 200 devices spread over 175 miles in less than 2 weeks. I then trained the users on it, and we have been using it since.

    Negative

    The only two things I dislike about Atera is that it is hard to find daytime (to me) appointments with demo and onboarding agents, and it doesn't pull in longer device names from the device's OS.

    Most of the demo and onboarding agents are based in Israel, I believe, so the timing is hard when living in the US. There are some 7 am appointments that I was able to find, however, so it worked out.

    Overall it was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this to others because after the on boarding process it does a very good job of itemizing and categorizing helpdesk tickets for my business.

    It was pretty much easy to use and set up. You can set up a ton of automations on here so that when tickets are filed into your helpdesk, it will be organized and distributed in the right category without any issues. You won't have to really lift a finger until after you set everything up. It was a bit confusing at first but once you get a hang of it, you can make everything automatic

    You should try Atera. It runs smoothly and gives all the required vital data for your remote IT monitoring. The scanner scheduling ability is outstanding. Highly recommended.

    Atera has performed extremely well for our SNMP and SQL monitoring. The onboarding process was extremely easy and the integrations with Acronis backup were smooth. I liked its user interface, it is modern and intuitive. The remote OS patch management works great.

    I feel that this tool allows me to effectively manage my machines and gives me the power to act as a team on my own. The AI features are more than a gimmick but it certainly doesn't do my job for me. The shared libraries of scripts and SNMP templates save a huge amount of time, assuming that what you need is in there and accurate.

    Amazing value for the price. There are some great features including SNMP monitoring (extra cost) and the AI features can be a real time-saver.

    The AI script generator is really helpful for you to describe what you need to be done and to have it spit something out that is almost exactly what you need. It's never perfect as with any AI system, but it can generate really great samples to get you on the right track.

    I love that you have the option to use Splashtop or Anydesk (or both). It's nice to know that you have a fallback remote access tool in case one of them goes down.

    The script and SNMP libraries are really helpful. You are able to search for scripts that are submitted by other Atera users to use in your environment (Make sure to vet the scripts yourself). You can also submit scripts yourself to help others out.

    Support is amazing. The techs are available in seconds via chat and always seem to have the answers you need on hand. The developers are listening, and adding feature requests all of the time.

    The community forums are very helpful and everyone is willing to help you succeed.

    Negative

    There are some missing features that really need to be added sooner than later to be able to compete with the bigger players in the space.

    The inability to attach a single user to multiple devices is a daily headache for me. You are able to attach multiple users to a single device, like an RDS server for example.

    The monitoring profiles are a bit finicky to get dialed in and applied to the right machines. Once you figure out how to use them and create a few, they are pretty powerful.

    The time-tracking interface is clunky compared the larger products like CWM.

    Some of the issues I have encountered with Atera are: the computers do not always restart after patch management, there is no easy way to rename the devices in the system, some of the features I want are only available in the higher subscription plans, and duplicate tickets are created when I reply from the ticketing email instead of the helpdesk.
