Easy Procare
Date: Apr 23 2025SummaryOverall I am happy. I haven't felt the need to switch over to anything else and probably won't. It is pretty user friendly. We really liked when a representative actually worked with us to learn how to accept card payments.
PositiveI love that when I work with Procare it is like second nature. All of the menus are in a spot that are easy to find. It is also very simple to add in new menus or classrooms. I love that I am able to input all of my documents in the system and it will print me out things such as tax statements, allergy lists and even classroom rosters or birthdays.

Need better customer service

PositiveThe app is easy to use and easy to find what you need. The reports function is great and parents can easily find their tax info on their own.
NegativeNow that we have issues with our parents getting declined payments (even though they are on auto pay), I cannot get anyone on the phone or even to respond to emails. They are not responding to my parents either.

Limited Photo Interaction Visibility: When multiple people interact with photos on the timeline (think 3 or more), it’s unclear who they are. With only my wife and me using the app to see our child, seeing three or more interactions can be confusing even though my guess is it might be a parent of another kid that's also in the photo.
No Quick-Access Checkout Feature: The app lacks a feature like an Apple Wallet card or QR code integration for checking out our kid from daycare. A “checkout ID” with a PIN or QR code, similar to other apps like car insurance, would streamline the pick-up process. -

Haven't Found A Better Option Yet

PositiveProcare Solutions provides our school with the best range of features that we have been able to find (and at the best price point). It covers many of our software and office needs and provides teachers and families with communication, connection, and ease of access.
NegativeOur school's enrollment and scheduling options (in which students enroll in multiple classes at a time and in multiple programs throughout the year) requires multiple workarounds with Procare Desktop's tags/tracking. Additionally, there are several features in Procare Online/Procare App that we wish had more options/flexibility.

PositiveI enjoy the convenience of everything happening on one platform - attendance, billing, staff time cards, parent and staff communication, onboarding new clients - it really simplifies my day! I also LOVE that when I have an issue with the program I can quickly get help through customer service, or I can even suggest an upgrade to the product. Love it when Procare comes through with a fix that didn't previously exist!
NegativeI wish I could issue partial refunds. Currently the only option is to issue a 100% refund for a payment, which is incredibly problematic if I am having to issue a prorated refund for a tuition or fee payment. My only workaround is to have the bank issue a check, but then trying to log the payment that took place outside of Procare get messy.

PositiveProcare helps keep our childcare facility running. We are able to have all of our families information, staff information, and invoices/tuition in one place. We are also able to record our days including attendance, meals, naps, and diaper changes. The parent portal allows us to share this information with families as well as having an easy way to contact families.
NegativeThere are a lot features (which is great), however this requires a lot of time to dive into each feature that is available and how to set it up/use.
