Absolute scam
Date: Dec 22 2025SummaryVery very very bad and disappointing. I want my money back. Stupid customer service only keeps asking for my bank accounts which they already have since they took my money
PositiveNothing good about Zendocs. They let you pay 0,99 cents but then charge you 24,99 for a subscription
NegativeAbsolute scam. No where it says you automatically agree to a monthly’s subscription by paying 0,99 cents. Internet is full of bad reviews. Shame on you for scamming people this way. Customer service is fake and keeps asking for the same information over and over again.

PositiveThe conversion preserved image quality, allowed for batch upload, and output PDFs were easy to share.
NegativeCould include optional compression during the conversion.

Decent PDF editor
Date: Oct 15 2025SummaryAttempted editing a scanned worksheet and succeeded, but it took a minute to locate the correct button. A simple tip for new users would be appreciated.
PositiveEditing was good, although the interface could be made clearer in places. A few labels and icons weren't made clear immediately, although generally everything worked neatly once I'd got familiar with it.
NegativeNew users could perhaps be helped faster by a small tutorial popup explaining key features straight away.

This made textbook reading easier.
Date: Nov 20 2025SummaryIt has totally revolutionized the way I organize my study materials; instead of being stuck with some monolithic PDFs, I can curate exactly what I need. Simple but powerful tools have made my study sessions so much more efficient.
PositiveI love the split and merge functions of this software. I can take a huge textbook PDF, split out only the chapters that I need for my class, and combine them with my own notes to make one custom study guide. It is very empowering.
NegativeThe only minor gripe I have is that the page load times are a couple of seconds longer after uploading a very large file, such as a 300-page textbook. It isn't a deal-breaker, per se, but it has been noticed.

Accurate OCR, but little hiccups.
Date: Nov 27 2025SummaryI scanned a stack of meeting handouts and ran OCR to make them searchable. For typed pages, the results were excellent, and it significantly expedited searching. Some handwritten annotations weren't captured reliably, which made a quick manual check necessary. Overall, a strong OCR tool for printed material with a small caveat about handwriting capture.
PositiveIn general, it accurately identified printed text and converted it to a searchable PDF quickly. Multi-page OCR batches worked well and preserved document structure.
NegativeHandwritten notes were less consistent-a gentle reminder about handwriting limits upfront would be useful. Also, a preview step for OCR results before finalizing would reduce the occasional small text errors.

Efficient for legal documents
Date: Nov 25 2025SummaryI had to file a motion with over a dozen exhibits. I used ZenDocs to merge them all, and then compress the final file to meet the upload limit of the portal. That was a really smooth process; it saved me from having to go to the office to use the high-end scanner and software.
PositiveThe capability of securely handling multi-page legal exhibits and combining them into one PDF is invaluable.
NegativeInitial upload for a very large set of documents may take a minute or two, so you need to be a little patient.

Quick convert to multiple formats
Date: Dec 08 2025SummaryI converted several financial reports in Excel, which could then be analyzed. Most of the formatting remained intact, making data extraction quick. Some tables required light tweaking, but overall, it saved hours in the conversion workflow compared to manual entry.
PositivePDF conversion to Word, Excel, and images was reliable, with mostly retained formatting; batch conversions saved a considerable amount of time.
NegativeThe most complex tables did need minor readjustments after conversion, but a small preview function would have helped double-check the accuracy before export.

Fast sign and return workflow
Date: Dec 01 2025SummaryI finalized a freelance contract using the sign pdf flow. The signature placement was easy, and the exported signed PDF looked professional. An integrated minimal audit note would be welcome for formal contracts, but the speed and clarity of signature placement made the entire signing step painless and fast.
PositiveSigning PDFs was quick with an intuitive signature tool and the ability to place initials or full signatures anywhere on the document. Signed copies were stamped with date and could be downloaded in multiple versions.
NegativeIt would also be very useful if the signed file contained a small audit trail of the signing timestamp and IP metadata by default for formal agreements. That would add comfort for higher-stakes documents.

Good but could be faster
Date: Oct 21 2025SummaryI use it mostly to sign and send contracts. Works well, but can see improvement in performance dealing with large PDFs. Nonetheless, good experience overall.

Merged my proposal smoothly.
Date: Nov 13 2025SummaryThis saved me so much time on a tight deadline. Instead of wrestling with printer settings and a scanner, I just uploaded all the separate files, dragged them into order, and clicked merge. The entire process took two minutes and the result was exactly what I needed.
PositiveThe merge PDF function is flawless. I had to combine a cover letter, a project quote, and several reference pages into one document for a client proposal. It handled the different page orientations and sizes perfectly, creating a clean, professional-looking file ready for sending.
NegativeIt would be nice to have the possibility of reviewing just before finalizing the merge, just to double-check the page order once more. You can reorder before merging, but a final preview would add that extra peace of mind.

Smooth merge for client presentations
Date: Dec 08 2025SummaryI compiled a number of client presentation files into one PDF-the result preserved links and formatting nice, and I avoided manually copying slides. It would be good if there was a thumbnail preview, but overall it streamlined preparation.
PositiveSlides and documents could be merged into one PDF rapidly, while showing consistent formatting and retaining hyperlinks.
NegativeAdding a small thumbnail preview of all pages would help confirm the order before merging large decks.

Great for compressing huge slide decks
Date: Dec 02 2025SummaryI had to send several decks of slides to a client for review and used Compress PDF to do this rather quickly. Slides were still easy to read, and internal links still worked. Using a preset for email quality would streamline things, but the manual slider gave control to maintain readability.
PositiveCompress PDF brought a 30MB slide deck under email limits while keeping visuals readable and preserving the hyperlinks. Batch compressing for several decks saved me from running repeated conversions.
NegativeIt would be handy to have named presets like "email", "web", and "print" that set compression vs. quality automatically; being able to select levels manually is fine, but presets would save time.

Simple secure password protection
Date: Dec 03 2025SummaryI password-protected sensitive HR documents before sending them via email. The encryption was simple and secure; printing and editing permissions were easy to set. Having predefined templates for regular actions would be very nice, but in general, the whole process was secure and easy.
PositivePassword-protect PDF added a layer of security quickly, while encryption was reliable and customizable; permissions, like view vs. print, worked well.
NegativeSome might prefer predefined security templates for standard workflows, so they are not guessing each time.

Smooth split and extract pages
Date: Nov 28 2025SummaryI have prepared excerpts for several colleagues by splitting a long manual into topic-specific PDFs. Extraction and renaming were straightforward, and I could deliver neat files to each team member without extra formatting. The operation saved time and avoided manual copying into new files, which was really convenient for a busy day.
PositiveThe splitting of larger documents into sections was intuitive: I could extract any pages and save the selections as separate PDFs with specified file names. The drag-and-drop reorder UI made it easier to organize extracted pages.
NegativeAdding a small batch naming template for extracted page sets would help when making many small files for different recipients; it’s a helpful convenience feature rather than a necessity.

Date: Nov 04 2025SummaryI use it informally to merge lesson notes. No frills, but it never fails. Might just need a bit of polish to look nicer.

Pretty good overall
Date: Oct 23 2025SummaryI used it to edit an old manual. The Word conversion worked fine, just a bit slower than expected. Still, solid value for quick jobs.
PositiveZenDocs allows fast pdf to word conversion with formatting preserved, not usual in free applications.
NegativeConversion time can be long depending on larger files.
